I think certain people have a misconception about the whole term 'winter beater'.
It doesnt simply refer to buying a beater or a lemon to drive in the winter because your regular is in the garage / under the wraps but about buying a _winter_ beater, something simple yet reliable to beat the winter, yet something where not much is lost when it needs to be gone.

I think buying any car for any specific season of weather is fucking stupid.

Buy cars that you like and plan accordingly. I for one am not about to park a FWD SUB shitbox just to drive through a couple inches of snow for 3 months out of the year.

I will however, equip my RWD sedan with snow tires, and drive cautiously on inclement weather.
