0-100km/h times or 0-55mph for you yankdoodles
How fast can your shitbox go?
>6.4 to 100
8ish maybe on a nice day.
idk i never bother with miles
fuck merricans doing 55 everywhere must suck
Aussies practically have a culture of losing their licence and driving anyway reguardless of speed posted limits ai
get a ls swap or just a 90's econobarge with something v8ísh in it you'll like the change i went from revvy i6's to a 350 and loved it but its not everyone thing
better yet chuck a cam in it and rev to 8000
>fuck merricans doing 55 everywhere must suck
Uhhh... no. Most of their highways have a 65mph or 70mph limit (even 85mph in Texas), which is around 110km/h to 115km/h, similar enough to our highways. They usually seem to get away with doing 80mph though, while cops will hand you a $400 fine and take three points off your license if you're caught at 130km/h here.
>Aussies practically have a culture of losing their licence and driving anyway reguardless of speed posted limits ai
Just about every episode of Highway Patrol, they manage to catch someone driving without a license, without rego, usually speeding, so I'd have to agree with you there.
11.7s E36 M43B16
15.5 Audi 80 B3 1.8 90hp
14.5 Twingo C3G 55hp
TBI so it only runs at full potential once in a while.
Have never timed a 0-60 with t actually delivering fuel properly, but probably not much quicker than 12 seconds, and that sounds like a stretch to me.
>How fast can your shitbox go?
My civic runs out of steam at 98mph, trans issues and the autos are limited at 100 anyway.
My 4cyl Comanche tops out around 90 something
I've taken my 6cyl Comanche to about 105-110
If you're quick enough with the shifts you can do it.
The second you hit 62 or so though acceleration is awful.
Overdrive/fifth gear is useless except for the gas mileage increase.
Helps that its practically empty all the time and I have good tires on it.
I might be a bit off, but its still probably around 10 to 11.
The engine is in excellent condition, almost every time I take it in the mechanics always remark on how clean it is.
How is that even usable? You literally could not merge at highway speeds.
If your car takes 30 god damn seconds to get to 60 MPH or even 55 I consider it deathtrap status. Seems like anything that slow is too anemic to do any real work. Besides 18 wheelers of course.
>Seems like anything that slow is too anemic to do any real work
speed /=/ power
the fuck nigga? you even contradicted yourself by saying an 18 wheeler works even though its slow.
0-60 in 6.6 seconds.
Too bad the car itself has no redeeming features other than good acceleration.
Didnt we all agree that they post times that seem too good or too low?
I bet real good money that if you put on a scanguage or some other accurate gauge you get a time much worse.
The best 0-60 times are achieved by professional drivers in new cars. Both of which you dont have.
I just stay in the right hand lane and cruise at 55, all the time. it's pretty easy.
Im saying that an 18 wheeler gets an exception because they haul what? 70,000 lbs or more?
Some guys F150, F100 or whatever the hell isnt nearly the same and being just as slow greatly reduces its value.
Your post about 0-60 time at least confirms that my dad had good reason to hate going from a 70 F100 with a 360/4spd to a 77 with the i6 and a 4spd
good acceleration is a luxury. Plenty of trucks use weak little 4cyls (look at yotas little shittrucks from the 80s) and do work just fine.
0-60 in 3.5 seconds, when the rear bumper is attached properly anyway.
Oh gee what a surprise!
Oh damn that's a pig. Only car ive driven with similar performance was my buddies 93 ranger 4x4 that was lifted on 33s, with a 5 speed. Thing had a bone stock 4 banger and was not regeared. It was a complete pig
Takin it on a 1000km road trip this weekend will be fun takin it to 90 mile beach and teach me mates how to drive manual, there 3 of em all mid 20s can't drive manual baka in dissapointment
If your clocked 40kph over car gets impounded, instant licence loss for 28 days, then you have to go to court, biggest fine I got was 38kph over which was 500 and 50 demerit points ( we get 100) but they wouldn't be able to catch up, cops in nz use v6 auto commodores
A very safe car. Not scary at all. Is very peaceful to drive. Almost luxurious.
My heart rate is always low so I will live longer than you young shits and your powerful engines that mean nothing.
You think your future employer is going to ask how much hp your car has during a job interview? No. He may as well ask how big your dick.
aussie cops are intense i ran from a local once their like bloodhounds lol
lol my folden v8 doesnt have a limiter they knew what they where doing :p
Nice how much did that set u back in freedom$?
Damn man do they let tickets slide? Or change me for ya? I got caught driftin on Mother's Day last year which is normally instant licence loss car impounded for me it would be 2500$ fine coz of history but he gave me a ticket for driving a vehicle liable to cause annoyance, he saw the kids seats in the back and asked if I had kids I said yes he asked wat the kids thought of the car and told him they love the noise, was rb30det r33 with 450hp/330kw he was a nice cop
Yeah bit like that isnt it
i wish i had a decent jack cant even get under my car atm and sucks 2x in a dirt garage
Depends i'd say if it was a local HWP and he was having a good day he might let me off.
They have the policy that if they cant prove it you can walk so i just book it whenever i see one
This is the best run with a total shit launch. The one with wheel spin up to around 55 is another vid which shows a local business so not posting.
Was like 30s outside and my fuel filter and FPR had issues which is why SES light is on. Now that I've fixed it, I can do a hair better.
Best stock I6 motor in this world.
Boy here we go again.
I put 800 miles a week on her. I probably won't spend any more than $3 to $5k (give or take a grand or two.) over a 100k mile period which includes preventative maintenance.
Honestly, the barra is too mid-engine for more people. Having an engine that close to the dashboard can cause problems with the clusters and there's no way to fix that seeing as how the barra is considerably more mid-engine than any other inline 6. That's what my friend told me, he now drives a BMW for that very reason.
Shit photo, is old.
(before anyone gets excited, this was bracket racing- look it up if you don't know)
