Do you own any cool 80's car /o?
OP here, I owned one of those but I just crashed it.
No MR22 owners here?
>>14222728
I have a turd gen Z28 with some rarer options. 4 speed with 4 wheel discs and a limited slip diff, no t-tops, and no power windows or locks. LG4, not the shitfire injection, so it's less slow. The cat was cut out 24 years ago, the timing is advanced, a richer chip was put, and the carb was rebuilt with richer metering rods so it makes around 200 now, it ran a 15.10 1/4 mile.
my baby, 1987 subaru leone 4wd turbo <3

Unf, 10/10
i'd love one of these, they give me moist panties.

>>14223123
15.10 is about right for a 200hp ~3300 pound car. At least it's fun to drive in the twisties and gets sideways easily enough.
>>14223033
Yep this car wins the thread
Depends on who you are.

Bought this beat to shit vanagon form a tweaker for a couple hundred bucks.
>>14223485
I personally think the worst cars to buy are the ones that have been touched by someone who thought they could do something with it.
Yet didn't.
That black paint, seeing as I don't know about this vehicle, doesn't look stock.
Which makes me think someone has fucked with it, half assed it, and never gave attention to it.
I'll never buy a car in this state.
I'm sorry, but I want to tell you.
Never enjoy the late game of this restoration. Because I don't want you thinking you're "done" with it. That's the only way this car could be satisfactory to me.
/blogasfuck
>>14222728
>I just crashed it.
BOOO
I have an e28 is that cool?
>>14223516
That's my favorite state to buy them in. It allows me to do what ever I want to a car without feeling guilty about possibly ruining it.
>>14223126
5 doors are mighty rare in the u.s. been looking for one to keep my 92 turbo vert company.
>>14223112
RWB's are crap I want to shoot that aclcoholic murderer in the face
>>14222728
Sold my 1986 light yellow 740 Turbo. Had the factory wing for MAD DOWNFORCE, was chipped and a bigger turbo for HEKTIK FLUTTER SIK SKIDZ ULEH.
That thing was fucking horrible to drive, felt like on ice no matter what you tried to do.
1988 VW Polo Coupe GT. Is this considered "cool"?
>>14223752
>VW
No.
W123, 1983, 2.0d, freshly painted, still needs some fixing, might engine swap. (Its 100% stock atm)
>>14223752
Yes.
will always own at least 1 80's jap box
>>14223888
Is that a LeBaron? Hot damn, I love your car.

Yes, I love the LeBarons of all age and size.
I'm going to look and possibly buy a BMW next saturday, so yes I am a masochist

>>14222728
Not anymore, but I've owned a Foxbody, two CRXs and a 3rd gen Prelude.

>>14225120
Oh, you remember that disaster of a thread?
I bought a 300C Chrysler, an E32 BMW and am going to give this one E23 a look next Saturday. The bitch left.
>>14225161
You have my condolences
>>14225161

That's good for you, mate. Hope you'll find another Volvo to love
I do. Needs a headliner. Thinking about using a period Star Wars bedsheet.
>>14225168
Sweet Capri
>>14225167
Set on anew mission, I bought my E32 back that I sold and am planning to manual swap it.
The Volvo on the other hand is a long term goal, I want a turbo Volvo and either boost it to the moon and back or LS swap that fucker and then turbo it.

I just managed to get this museum registered during the autumn.

Did you die?

Shit. I should get my piece of shit Chrysler some museum plates too, not like I drive that shitbox all that much, just for some festival and friday night cruises
>>14225779
If it is 1984 in stock form or modified period-correctly, you should. Nobody monitors the amount driven annually, but in my case the Honda barely does 2 weeks/a.
>>14225823
It's a 1987 sold as a '91, So I have still a bit of waiting to do. Good time to restore her into her former glory.
>>14222746
represent.
also...
>>14225830
Good luck with the restoration. The inspectors are really looking for details. At least the visible parts should be stock and not broken or common and available when the car was purchased new. I had to replace the stereo with an old one, while the "Formuling" leather steering wheel and Compomotive alloys were ok. And no visible welds are recommended, however they didn't say anything about the pattern part exhaust on the Civic. Also prepare to have the documentation for the car, including proof of the manufacturing date. It might require contacting the manufacturer or the company that has imported the car.
Sure do.
I used to own this old guy.
>>14223485
nice van anon

How are those wagons anyways?
I wanted to buy one real bad for a daily driver I saw on craigs for 2k but had over 200k miles - them shits never die or what?
ye
Aw yea.
I own a W124 Mercedes Benz but I don't know how "cool" it is on a board that only faps off to old japanese cars.
>>14222931
You have all the good options. T-roofs, power windows and power locks are all massive pains in the butt for older vehicles.
>>14230402
Don't consider them cool at all, I actually dislike them quite a lot, but mostly because every single kid and their mother over here owns one.
123 looked better
Isn't exactly 80's thing, nor is it pretty cool, but hey what the fuck. It's my Volvo.
Every day im not fixing something is a day something breaks

>>14226999
Y prob. It goes 0 to 60 in 2mins.
I never take it on freeway, because its a slow, but cool city car, thats why im thinking about engine swap.
Yes I have an E30. Fucking sucks with no cup holders. I carry around a little plastic cup/organizer with me to keep shit together
>>14231403
where did you get that?
i bought one of these
http://www.amazon /dp/B000Q86IQQ/ref=twister_B003N6ECQ6?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
and it works pretty good but only for one drink
>>14231403
I have an E30 with a very clean interior, so I don't want to screw in any shitty aftermarket cupholders. I want this thing but I cannot stomach spending $130 on a fucking cupholder.

Got a 1981 DMC. Don't drive it though because its in good condition. Also the twisted metal rods that help hold up the doors are shot. So getting in and out of the thing when the door is trying to close on you isn't the funnest.
>>14222728
yes
To lazy to walk outside to take a good picture.
>>14231841
awh MAN
NICE LAND YACHT
OH BABY
>>14231819
agreed, bought mine for 500 with just 23k kms and the previous owner had it for over 20 years. It's slow and I get overtaken regularly but it's my first bike and I love it. My friends all got SV650s, GSRs and Bandits and are quite a lot faster but I couldn't care less.
>>14231859
THANKS
>>14231828

>>14231417
I bought the plastic thing at target for $3. works well. Coins and other random junk in one side and the other holds cups. I thought about that but didn't want to bother mounting it.
>>14231750
yeah I looked into some of those cup holders on the forums. I just tell people don't bring anything but bottle drinks that you're willing to hold the whole time.
although if no one is with me a bottled water fits nicely between the passenger seat and center console area.
guys please tell me i'm cool

I fucking love how they look and how relatively uncommon they are. How do they compare to a e30?
>>14232530
Heavier, slower, worse handling, worse aftermarket.
Yes
