>It's expected to be a quiet show for Toyota. The S-FR, a tiny rwd coupe shown in October at the Tokyo Motor Show, won't be coming to the U.S. and therefore won't be in Detroit. Toyota's press conference on the second day of the show, squeezed between suppliers' press events, will feature news about its infotainment offerings.
ALL HOPE IS LOST
I genuinely feel for you burgers. At the same time I'm happy to be a European.
Yeah exactly. Some cars have a better fast driving experience than others and this is entirely dependant on design of the windshield, seating placement and the car itself.
I've found speed wise and not on boring highways, mini coopers give you a great going fast sensation. In other bigger cars, you don't even feel like you are ever going fast. Like in an airplane you have no perception you are travel at hundreds of miles per hour through the air.
Toyota: hey guys we got this nice car you can use it to drive on the weekend or just for driving around.
Us: yes yes yes
Toyota: do you want it? Do you need it? Are you feeling it? Are you gonna have sex with it?
Us: that last one was weird but what the hell yes!
Toyota: okay we got a deal.
Toyota: it's not coming to the US.
This, here's all the evidence:
Americans are only capable of driving in a straight line, or turning slightly to the left. The way americans race and hoon is by just having the most powerful car and smashing the gas in the straight line.
Americans do not even consider competing their speeds by putting their driving skills to the test, they just want to put their ownership and money earning skills to the test with how powerful of a car they can buy.
ITT: People ACTUALLY hating on a 2000 pound 6 speed M/T RWD car that costs $12k USD
Jesus fucking christ. Fuck all of you and fuck the entirety of modern car culture. You faggots are the reason actual car enthusiasts can't have nice things.
Nah, that's just idiots, could be anywhere in the world. An S-FR would be fantastic around mountain roads all over the US.
Dude, even if it was like 20k it would be fantastic, because it's just another option for new car buyers.
Fuck. Fuck you Toyota. I'm going to push my AE86 off a cliff.
You fucking ruined it all.
isn't everything designed in the last 5 years?
You know, if you had any idea on how markets work you might understand the situation a lot better and realise the mx5 is so prevailaint in American gay culture trying to compete with it Is not a profitable business plan, add on top that the market was small to begin with and it's just not looking good. The gt86 flopped in america so you don't get the sfr
This is probably true
>"Why won't fucking Japs make cheap fun cars again???? I WANT MY 90S BACK"
"Too slow lol, too expensive"
"Fat and way too expensive"
and so on and so forth until
"Too fucking expensive"
God no, it's one of the cheapest cars you can buy.
Literally the same price as an AE86 inflation adjusted.
I will give them fat, the car has aged pretty poorly. They've kept almost the same power and just kept adding weight.

I was angry for a second. But seeing so many disappointments already, I'm just tired and sad.
plenty of good roads in california
Has there been any other source for "not coming to the US?" Can't find anything other than that snippet from autonews. Wasn't Toyota planning pretty hard to release this shit here?
I wonder why...?
That is the only thing I have seen. Also after rereading it, the article could just mean that the concept car isn't coming to the USA for the auto show and they weren't meaning it wasn't going to be released in the USA.
