What does o think of the Integral Kobe ND5RC?
>dat maximum ducktail downforce
u wot m8
would probably look good if the base car wasnt ugly as hell
Ugly slow jap crap
>>14211125
the car obviously
>>14211135
>>14211141
looks good to me
>>14211148
you probably know more about this than us why don't you fill us in op
>>14211083
What's the power like? Any mods to suspension? Or is it only cosmetic?
>>14211161
Jet's Integral Kobe currently holds the fastest times in their in house custom tuned Roadsters in Nihonland on track and especially touge

Car is literally blowing away everything on the pass and is only getting better compared to their fully built NC.
>>14211200
It sounds good. Any vids of it out and about?
when will the world finally make a roadster more beautiful than the s2000? it's been close to 20 years
>>14211220
Not that I know of, but their NC has been around the block everywhere https://youtu.be/G4uFK8cOaBE
>>14211235
They made one with better dimensions (wheelbase, width, height), better weight, better cockpit position, and better engine position
oh it also looks better too
>>14211235
the world did that before Honda even made a single car
>>14211200
I hope these dampers are better than the usual japcrap
>>14211294
>japcrap
Explain? Why don't you like high quality Jap parts? These are literally the best on the market right now for the ND unless you plan on only using it at the track.
>>14211274
Ty for link. Forgot about these touge videos. Seems to be planted throughout.
>>14211321
most expensive high end jap dampers underperform compared to the equivalent yuro stuff
>>14211355
>equivalent yuro stuff
Source? Parts used? Prices? Cars used? U serious?
>>14211372
Stuff like Sachs, Reiger, Proflex etc etc is in the same price ballpark as HKS but will outperform anything coming out of Japan.
>>14211409
>HKS
That's a meme brand in Nippon land
In house tuners there are the best and usually have the best parts/applications for people who drive their cars in elevated mountainous roads like in Japan. This is also applies to short technical tracks.
>RE Amemiya, FEED, Spoon, Amuse, J's Racing, Techno Spirits, etc . .
Amazing quality parts
>>14211430
I was using HKS as a price reference. In terms of performance Japan can't compete.
>>14211443
>Japan can't compete.
Maybe on long track, but everywhere else they are masters of *lightweight* vehicles in demanding elevated road conditions.
Most parts manufactures don't focus on lightweight vehicles or mountain roads. Their all tuned for M3's and 911s
>>14211460
I am so sorry you believe this.
You'll find anything from world rally cars to Jap touring cars using Yuro stuff not Techno Spirits lmfao.
In Yurep light cars and mountain roads are used for actual competition and there are motorsport spec dampers made for those competitions.
Those companies then make revalved road spec dampers to order.
EXE-TC, Nitron, AST, Bilstein, Moton, Ohlins, beat anything coming out of Japan since forever.
But anyway this is a thread about a tuned Mx5. Hope it's good, have they done any engine work?
>>14211542
>not Techno Spirits
They do use other international parts as well, but the in house tuning and certain specialty parts they make are better.
I'm sure they've already done some engine tuning. They're fitting a Custom Cusco LSD among other things. They are pretty pissed that it's heavier though.
>>14211580
Okay I'm not hating on Japan btw I love the country but there are certain things some countries do better than others.
Yuros for brakes wheels, tyres, suspension.
America for engine internals.
Unfortunately the high energy and land costs in Japan mean Japanese made parts are expensive.
That cusco looks nice and strong, any itbs and cams available for the Skyactiv yet?
>>14211141
He typed while peering out the window towards his v6 mustang
>>14211083
that it probably a $50k miata and is ugly.
>>14211653
In nihon RS ND's are cheaper than international club models by a few grand
Also it looks amazing
>>14211542
This
Half of the high-end Japanese dampers are in some way rebranded European/American dampers. Only Spoon/Mugen makes their own dampers through Showa (OEM Honda), and that's only possible because of their close relationship with Honda.
Americans make extremely high-end shocks too. Penske, Fox, QA1, AFCO, Eibach, Hypercoil, and Konis come to mind (yes, they make more than just Koni Yellow/Sports).
Aragosta/Technospirits = AST
RE Amemeiya = Quantum UK
Feel's might've been rebranded Penske or AST, IIRC.
Zeal's I'm honestly not sure of.
A lot of the high-end Japanese suspension valving really disappoints too, Tein comes to mind. And what I honestly hate the most is that 90% of the time they have to get sent back to Japan IF they can be rebuilt, while even the low-midrange American/European shocks can get rebuilt locally. Bilsteins can be done by literally any idiot locally in the USA for example.

Yuro is best bro, is best
>>14211700
The IK coilovers have Eibach springs. They don't manufacture their whole units, but the custom adjustments they make are the best for mountain roads.
