They're making the sweeping assumption that if you want performance, you're a child that would obviously love a bright red "look at me im a boyracer" interior. If you're older than 17 its embarrassing to be seen in. My gli has comfortable bucket seats subtle red stitching and a tiny gli emblem on the steering wheel. Otherwise it looks like a jetta on the inside.

This is why I'll keep my FN2 rather than buy the new FK2, why the fuck did they move the AC controls to the lower center console?

The one thing I love about gen 8 civic is that I don't have to fiddle around when changing AC settings, it's all in peripheral vision and shaped so you know exactly what you're pressing (fans in the center of the circle, mode bottom circle etc), yet with the new one all the buttons are the same and out of sight..

I had a courtesy car for a week and had to wait for red lights to change settings as I didn't fancy taking my eyes off the road. I can't see why new cars don't place the AC controls where the 8th gen does.

I've owned and driven both.They're both pretty good. GTI is a faster/better performer, but it's dull and uninspiring. Honda is slower and has a cheaper interior, but the driving experience is much better in my opinion. I'd buy either of them again.
