It will last if you keep it stock or close to stock. If you build one and not maintain it REGULARLY it will shit the bed pretty early on. Then again who would want to be an eternal ricer..
>How is bouncing off redline not over rev?
because youre sitting on the fuel/spark cut, its not going higher than what its set to stop at.
bang the limiter in 3rd gear, slam it into second at the same speed see what happens
Is that why every mr2 owner salivates at the idea of putting in a k24
Decades of generators, motorcycles, other small power generating engines and pumps.
I find it hilarious how honda can pump out some of the most reliable 4 bangers ever made with almost v6 power. Wish they would make a v6 s2k, it would be a modern masterpiece
Literally no one wants that lmao
>honda owners are all drag racers and wish to swap in a 4g63
If 4g63 was good at anything that isn't outputting crazy numbers then why does the Ariel Atom use a K series engine.
Why would a honda enter wrc when it just destroyed btcc
Actually in my MR2 I tried to downshift from fifth to fourth and somehow got it in second for about a second. Granted I hadn't let the clutch out very much as it banged past the rev limiter ~7800 to round 9500 before I could even fucking react. Scared the living shit out of me but the engine is fine.
i bounce off my rev to just warm up the car
Also notice how the only Toyota engines comparable to them were indirectly built/assisted by Yamaha in some way or form (anything with a G head and the UZ-series V8s). Even a 3SGE BEAMS says Yamaha on the valve cover.
Same with BMW and why they can build (or used to) high output high rev N/A engines. Motorcycle engine experience.
I wonder how would it look like if Kawasaki helped car companies build engines.
>tfw you hear vtec kick in in your brother's 2010 fat fuck civic
didnt really move much but it sounded so nice
Honda should have sticked to motorcycles. They gave birth to the cancer community of cars. Plus their cars suck with the exception of one or two. Never get a Honda as your first car because you are going to be sucked into the cancer community.
