Aston Martin is getting sued by one of the designers that made it a worthwhile brand in the 90s and 00s.
“Aston Martin is trying to intimidate me to prop up their own flailing company and to mask their financial and product deficiencies. I refuse to be intimidated and that is the reason for today’s filing.”
“We believe that in an effort to protect itself from further market erosion, Aston Martin and their three executives who run the company, conspired and devised a scheme to stomp out Henrik Fisker’s competitive presence in the luxury sports car industry, “ explained [Fisker’s lawyer Jonathan] Michaels. “Because of the threats they laid out in their letter we opted to play offense in regards to Aston Martin’s transparent and nefarious motives.”
>Aston Martin is trying to intimidate me to prop up their own flailing company and to mask their financial and product deficiencies
Is Aston getting blown the fuck out?
>produce an aston martin badged just custom car without aston's permission
>modify a corvette to look like an aston martin
maybe try and design a car that doesn't look like an aston martin henrik?
His fault for giving his favorite design to a company then leaves it. The styling is great but it's time.to move on after making 3-5 cars that all look the same.
I think Aston Martin should have sued Ford for the Fusion. That was blatant stealing
Did he not realise being a car designer normally involves designing more than one car and reusing it over and over again under different names? When you leave a company you don't get to take there IP with you, and the work you did for them is their IP,
not really, he just built on ian callum's work
the vantage was his first real car for aston
>The styling is great but it's time to move on
Tell that to Aston Martin.
Henrik Fisker was a part of the DB7 program, he was there for a while.
Mainly because hurricane Katrina hit their storage and destroyed most of their stock, but the car wasn't very good anyway. They would've just continued making a bad car otherwise.
no he wasn't. he was working for BMW/design worksUSA until 2001
They have the Vantage (4 models)
The DB9 (one model)
The Lagonda (one model)
and the Vulcan (one model)
the DB7 was released in 1994 senpai
so lemme get this straight, henrick fisker is trying to sue aston martin b.c they use car designs still that are similar to the ones he used to draw for them, but now that his car company is LMAOrek'd and he is butthurt he wants money from a previous employer b.c boo-hoo-hoo?
wait so the fisker emblem is round and faggy looking so he puts the aston martin shaped logo on that thunderbolt shit...top fucking kek what a skrublord i hope he goes the way of john z, the demented bastard. also his taillights look like a rip-off of most maserati's. when i first heard about the karma being poofed i just thought of thhe irony of such a name for a car
you really can see the resemblance in his work...it's kinda pathetic
Basically Aston Martin wrote to him to say we don't know what your next car will look like but if you show it and it infringes our IP we will sue again, he didn't show the car and is now saying that it was unfair for AM to threaten to sue him until after he had infringed the IP. Makes perfect sense you don't get the MPAA going round saying if you infringe our IP by pirating we will sue you, do you!
>Makes perfect sense you don't get the MPAA going round saying if you infringe our IP by pirating we will sue you, do you!
Except if you then delete the pirated movie you then sue the MPAA.
But what if you made that movie to begin with?
>tfw my dad's DB7 keeps breaking down
>tfw I haven't had the pleasure of driving it
fisker was hired by tesla to work on the model-s; then called 'white star'.
musk alleged he handed in substandard work and then fucked off and started his electric car company based on what he worked on at tesla
Sucks to be Musk, tastes differ. And clearly Fisker's drafts for Tesla can't have been so bad if the Model S looks so similar to the Karma that they feel the need to sue because of it.
But what if your film was the original good one and the ones you are being sued for are the knockoffs?
you know the db7 zagato was primarily designed by zagato right, which is why andrea zagato is in the photo right?
That sketch was made by Zagato's Nori Harada
How the fuck does Zagato even exist despite 95% of their cars looking like complete shit? That thing right there looks like an abomination you'd find on Craigslist after someone welded an '04 Thunderbird to a C5.
All of the art majors that eventually ended up working at Ferrari, Aston, Hyundai, BMW, VAG, etc aspired to work at Zagato. It has brand name power so they are always invited to show their artistic muscle.
>Its his signature.
It's Ford's signature now, boy.
Seriously, poor Aston. They got Jewed by ford and now by some broke geyser.
They turned a DBS into a whale shark / laughing while crying emoji. Work of art turned into something that looks like it should be riding on a Fiero chassis.
>literal who arguing with maker of overpriced nice looking pieces of shit that has faded into obscurity its failed attempts to make a fresh car
So this is a marketing stunt, right?
Just give AM to the indians you fucking britkucks, poos in the loos handled jaguar land rover better than you ever did
Because in the automobile industry, ABSOLUTELY nothing matter more than brand name. Nothing. You could make a literal piece of fucking crap but as long as you slap prestige on it it will be lauded and clarkson will shed a tear as its rear axle falls apart when he tries to drift right before he calls it ZE BEST CAR EVEAHHHHHH
That and tasteless arab oil lords
This used to be a Testarossa. Now it is a Power Ranger vehicle.
