American cars pictures/discussion/stories etc. Only cars from the greatest nation in the fucking world allowed.
Ford Vs. GM Vs. Dodge discussions/arguments are also allowed.
That being said, GM a shit, fuck Ford, hail to the snek!
The closest snek truck that exists is a Ram SRT 10.
I love the snek. Snek is like that buddy who is always there for you, that slaps you in the back everytime he sees you, and doesn't really have an indoor voice. He loves you, but he won't hesitate to punch you in the face if you do something stupid.
Probably yes, but would go against the principles of the Viper. The viper had only the bare minimum. It would be like having a TVR with an automatic tranny and all kind of technologies.
And yes, sadly the viper is discontinued in 2017. It has been a thorn in FCA's side for too long, and it started challenging the V12 ferraris in performance, so they probably whined about it like they always do. Also I heard that the car in general didn't sell so well, but I'm not that sure.
That's not strictly an American car though. It was designed and sold in Europe as an Opel and Vauxhall from 1984 onwards, then in South Korea as a Daewoo from 1986 onwards and only in 1988 did they start to ship it to the US and badge it as a Pontiac. Also even in native Europe it had a terrible reputation.
I'm all for shitposting terrible American cars, but it's double as fun when they're real American garbage.
tfw Europe makes better muscle cars than America.
Ironically it was still better than Cadillacs of the time in a number of regards and would've actually been considered a decent car if it hadn't been for its atrocious reliability.
>tfw you will never live in the US and run a side business plowing snow in winter
>with your family car
Move to the United States and I'll give you a gun as a housewarming gift.
That's just what we do here.
Oh yeah, that too
>Too expensive to own an American made V8
>LOLNOGUNS ENJOY BEING RAPED BY PAKIS FUCK YOU
I just wanted a 21st century V8 Challenger and a .45 1911, two of my main goals in life. Both are nigh unattainable in Europe.
I know people who have moved here from the UK. As they tell me, the process is long, but not hard. Much quicker if you can find a company willing to give you a serious job.
You have good taste.
The process is not only long, but actually impossible unless you have a degree and get a job offer, find someone to marry or utterly luck out on the lottery. And degrees aren't nearly as much of a thing in Europe than in the US, here in Germany we have a tiered school system and half the school graduates aren't even eligible to study. You can find a perfectly normal job if you go to occupational school instead of college, but it's not eligible for work visas to the US.
Also with recent immigration politics it's starting to become a viable option to just fly to Canada and walk across the largely unsecured border illegally. Police aren't allowed to ask for your legal status, tons of states allow illegals to pay taxes and get drivers licenses now, what's even the downside anymore?
Nothing, it's the fact that Americans think you can simply pack your things and move there, when in reality the country has some of the harshest legal immigration in the western world.
Will it be any good? It is already my favorite looking car now.
No no no, of course it isn't that easy. Shit, if it was that easy and cheap, I'd done it a long time ago.
Probably the first thing to do when you move into the states is to get a hold of a good job and I can't really do anything else except shoot and fix cars, so that's a no go for me.
>the country has some of the harshest legal immigration in the western world.
I'm not a proponent of artificial boundaries, I believe in unrestricted immigration -- but if you lived in the place that everybody wanted to go, wouldn't you have strict immigration laws, too?
When people move around the world, the first choice is pretty much always the United States.
The supercar of the decade.
When everyone else is weighing their cars down with heavy hybrid systems and ~1000 horses of unusable power, Ford's gone completely the other direction, designed the lightest car with the smallest envelope possible. It's basically the Lotus philosophy applied to a full-scale enclosed supercar. That it's so incredibly looking is just icing on the cake.
If I had millions to burn, I'd definitely take one over a LaFerrari, P1, etc.
I'd trade my firearms for free passage and citizenship to Iceland or NZ. America is getting a little too insane. Time to abandon a sinking ship.
Hope they let me bring my coal burning V8 though.
It's big, It's V8 and it's American. I'v heard people on /o/ complain about them, but then again I've heard people over here in Finland praise them because they can take a beating.
Shit, if it's good enough for the cops it's probably good enough for you too.
>I'd trade my firearms for free passage and citizenship to Iceland or NZ. America is getting a little too insane. Time to abandon a sinking ship.
When freedom comes a-calling you decide to jump ship?
The fact that it is not a hybrid is my favorite thing about it. It also has less fuel consumption. If it has good mileage for a super car it will be a huge success. I hope it will result in Ford designing sport and saloon cars with the same aesthetic and design principles.
The 2005 GT was damn beautiful too.
>implying dirt would have the audacity to stick to that beautiful Cadillac
The krauts can say that they invented cars all they want. This is the first REAL car.
america, the land of comfy land barges.
pic related, random pic of mine i chose
i would absolutely love to own a snek, but i get myself in plenty enough trouble with pic related. if i had more power i'd probably get my license revoked.
I missed a good thread but i didn't think anyone would even post anything so i just left...
Hours later and there are 100+ post.
Most of the interesting discussions are now over.. anyway here's my Murican car.
>Saleen S5S Raptor
Never made it out of concept but i wish it did.. looks beautiful in my opinion and if it were made there's no doubt it would've been fucking god-tier.
