I saw Mark play War On Drugs Suck My Cock live two years ago, still rate that SKM show as one of the best shows I've seen

This album is truly something of perfection. Every note and every chord is played to perfection. The hazy atmosphere fits every track perfectly. The vocals, the guitars, the piano, every instrument on this album compliments one another perfectly. Never before have I listened to an album that performs each and every quality as well as this. It’s a simply stunning orchestration of some very diverse and eclectic genres that all fit together wonderfully. Each song is fueled with emotion but that emotion never goes over-the-top in any way. It stays leveled so you still have the instrumentation to carry the message and the emotion along with the lyricism. Lost in the Dream is an album that is both magical and vocal in a way that makes it a completely atmospheric and immersive experience. It’s a record that, at the end of the day, leaves me completely speechless because of how incredible it is.
So why should I talk about it? I’m only human. This is an album that is meant to be heard and not talked about. It’s a record that expresses and evokes so many emotions yet it’ll leave the listener completely speechless. Each time I listen to this album I feel lost in its magic. And maybe there is some truth behind the title, there: You’re lost in a dream, an absolutely perfect dream that you never want to wake up from. Rock music will always remain something of an oddity, but Lost in the Dream is something that we can so clearly understand throughout the haze of everyday life. The War on Drugs have finally reached their creative peak and have released a truly game-changing record. It’s something that I can listen to again and again because I love it so, so, so very much. It’s an album that is incredibly memorable and original in ways that, once again, leave me completely speechless. In my eyes, Lost in the Dream is something we’ll look back on fondly for many years to come.
