There was a rumour that they did big boots for spectre but the execs found out it was an old song and asked them to make a new song but even after that they went with sam smith's piece of shit. It's a little bit overcompressed but I don't think the CD has much clipping or harshness, it's still pretty warm-sounding. If anything, I'd be skeptical of the remaster sounding better because of how outspoken some Radiohead members have been in favor of low DR mastering and blase they've been about releasing MP3-sourced official remix compilations.

The mastering of the high quality leaked tracks is pretty meh, I don't think the digital version of the original album will be any better, but I have never seen a bad analog to digital remaster so it will be worth checking out. I hope somebody uploads a well done vinyl rip of this just in case.

Yes, OK Computer is another victim of the so-called loudness war. Many others have fallen. The problem comes when a REMASTER 20 years later still sounds like a fucking noise wall. A Dynamic Range of 7 is still a fucking joke today and in 97. Its not THAT bad if we compare it to, for example, Californication or Death Magnetic. But it NEEDS to be better. It needed to be better in 97, and so it does today.
The vinyl's dynamic range is 10 and sounds so much better

No that's a different guy posting the unmastered leak (that came out before the album was finished). This was me>>73465792 Sorry for the confusion lol.

For HTTT I used the original digital masters but edited the EQ, cut them up, and rearranged them into another album basically (mostly uncompressed). I added a string bit for 2+2=5 and switched out some tracks with the leak because they were either better or less compressed.

For OkC someone released an uncompressed mother vinyl and I fixed the panning, speed, and mixmatched the uncompressed parts of the digital files into the vinyl file and that's what you're hearing (working on fixing the EQ now). Did the same for IR.
