How to write good solos for my band's songs?

I can't come up with something worthful for that specific song.
I just play some notes from the vocal line and noodle the rest.

Call forward or back to another part of the song. Other than that you're on the right track. Use the vocal melody as a guide but don't just follow it.

Write a better song? If you want advice on where to take a solo you kind of need a place for it to go. If all you have is a bridge and chorus I don't know what to tell you.

Will you answer my question? How many parts do you play? You don't necessarily have to use the parts right before and after the solo for the solo. If you go "out" in a musical way it doesn't matter. Call back to some variation of a riff you play or a melody line and expand it from there.

Should I learn technique or put my focus on learning more music theory?
I already have a know how on the basics of music theory and maybe could place myself at an average level but I have been wondering if I focus on my technique I may be able to better create stuff.
