Its crazy to me that three of the greatest albums ever recorded are by Kanye West. TLOP, Yeezus and MBDTF are all hallmarks of modern music and its quite staggering to be alive during their heyday.

It's a great cohesive album with no filler and a new, different sound that Kanye sounds great on.

What I like most about TLOP is that it is an undeniably exceptional piece of art.

Yeezus was a masterpiece too but attracted a lot of vocal detractors who were actually taken quite seriously.

I very much enjoyed it and liked it but I always thought from how strange and varied the singles were (only one/real friends/fade/all day etc) that Yeezy was really struggling to figure out what he wants to do with this album and even the final product is pretty all over the place in terms of overarching theme and focus

also Ultra Light Beam is amazing and it's so disappointing that nothing else on the album comes close to it save for Father Stretch My Hands, there's a lot of solid tracks but not many genuinely amazing ones

Remove the filler and the album is comparable to MBDTF. When it's good.... it's really really really good. The problem is it is overshadowed by tracks that should never have been included (Silver surfer) or were butchered (Wolves and 30 Hours). Feeling a decent to strong 7 on this one guys.

Bound 2 is easily the most accessible song on the whole album. I didn't even mention it, most people who dislike Yeezus like Bound 2. The rest of the album is however alienating. The high pitched screams, the industrial synths, the somewhat disturbing lyrics. It's not mainstream friendly in the slightest, all the co-producers are internet-famous oddballs like Arca and Gesaffelstein.

I agree that Yeezus bangs but to most people it's way too harsh.

Facts/nmpla shouldn't have been on it, even as bonus tracks.

Also fade would have fit nicely where it was originaly listed as going (right next to FML), not sure why it was downgraded to a bonus track, and it doesn't work as an album closer.

The album as a whole is all over the place and the mastering is horrible.
There are a few great songs on it, but it's like a 4 or 5/10 overall tbqhwy.
