Let's talk hip-hop without bashing each others taste for fucks sake I jut need some recs.
I feel that hip hop is reaching an apex. We have trap bangers, club bangers, white meme funny rap and le introspective oppressed rap. I think it's going to take a nose dive soon along with edm.
There's already derivative rap for all of the things you mentioned. That said there's still artists in both genres releasing good music and innovating, that's not really going to change. I'd say EDM is worse off since it's a lot easier for someone to "make it big" in EDM if they have a lot of money and the right connections. At least with rap you need some kind of emotion, not soulless cash grabs.
Hip hop is trash music made by and for unintelligent people
Long story short
Been playing all week
Bet this nigga will tell you eminem is the best rapper on earth tho.
I absolutely would not. Presenting any opinion on the individual merit of a rapper implicitly validates the myth that hip hop is a significant form of art that takes talent to create.
I am not a cook but if somebody serves me a steaming platter of shit, I will correctly identify its stench and revolting appearance and ask for a different meal, preferably made by a more competent professional.
"You couldn't plagarise and shout gibberish like Kanye" is not a valid argument and it never has been. I understand that it is one that is popular on school playgrounds, but we are not on a school playground; we are on an internet image forum. You have the time (and ability, I hope) to construct an actual argument which demonstrates to me any perceived errors in my reasoning. Next time, please do so.
That graphic is objectively false. Though they might dream of it, neither Rushton nor Jensen has ever been able to definitively back up their hypothesis of a genetic component to the IQ gap.
Especially in light of what we know from studying the Korean minority in Japan, as well as the lack of a correlation between degree of African ancestry and IQ within the black population, you'd think people would understand that the issue is still unresolved. Claiming definitive proof of anything is misinformation.
This shit post needs to be stopped... Hip Hop at times can be ignorant but what the hell is neo nazi thrash and punk all about. Hip Hop is a ode to freedom of speech, just like any other genre. Sure jazz is good and all but if you've ever read dizzy's book "to be or not to bop" at some point he stops reading music and begins covering and creating the first theories on remixing and song variation in a way that a novice can understand. Music needs to be made and there are going to be extremes all we can do is deal with them.
>We have trap bangers, club bangers
Can I get some recs like these,

I've really been into some Isaiah Rashad and Tut lately. You can never go wrong with some Anderson Paak for some more soulful/melodic stuff, and I've also been really into Scallops Hotel a.k.a Milo.
Danny Brown (Newest album)
Young Thug / Rich Gang
Kanye West (Yeezus and maybe some Graduation)
Waka Flocka Flame
