Also check out Courtney Barnett's 2015 album

If you liked OPN then get listen to other releases on Warp, if you liked the Microphones listen to other releases on K Recs

Mid 20's. Cool guy tastes, pretty chill and understanding of others.
Weeabo, not asian. Probably in some mid sized town somewhere. A little bit weird and brags or wants to brag about what he listens to.
I was listening to Wavves and Fidler recently too +

I'm alright with A Blaze but it sounds dated and basic as fuck these days.
Honestly I'd like the Hollis album if the production was better.
Fuck GY!BE and whatever else is affiliated with them though, I'd rather sit in on a homeless shelter while listening to Johann Johannsson than listen to their drawn out pretentious shite.
>Fuck GY!BE and whatever else is affiliated with them though, I'd rather sit in on a homeless shelter while listening to Johann Johannsson than listen to their drawn out pretentious shite
+Thee Silver Mt Zion Memorial Orchestra & Twiddly Wink Club
+black and white burning buildings
I've always liked Bowie m8, his death just made me revisit his albums more frequently.
Please stop posting, you're embarassing yourself with your completely uninformed and nonsensical garbage. How the fuck are GYBE pretentious?
how are they not?
they have fuck all musical ability, they throw random samples of homeless people and weirdos over their music to make it appear deep and to top it all they're just really elongated crescendocore.
They are like the epitome of terribly overrated pretentious rock shite.
have u heard majority rule
nicr black tambourine and aislers set ect
bad teen suicide
try gregor samsa
wait did i tell you that already
you are secretly my favorite poster dont tell anyone
who are those qts kissing eachother
i dont understand YOU
but did you read the rest of his post
Have you ever legitimately sat down and listened to one of their songs?
Bowing a guitar with a screwdriver is anything but easy, and coming up with such a concept in the first place is already incredible on its own.
The samples are literally of people talking, it is their own take on vocals. They're like the spoken word on Spiderland but more abstract. It's meant to be approximately as deep as your average punk rock album is.
Reminder that crescendoes =/= crescendocore.
If they're so overrated name me one other band that existed during 1997 that sounded remotely similar to them.
You have a point man, I'm not sure how to explain a band like GYBE to someone who doesn't get the concept and style.
>just tryin to feel some feels
Holy shit, so accurate of my current state I didn't even think about it. Fuck man, you got it.
Thanks for the Recs, downloading the albums now.
You have to read the rest of the post if you are to understand my reasoning, unless you're incapable of doing so.
Yeah those are neat tricks but when I get the exact same result from listening to Johann Johannson while listening to homeless people talk I can't help but feel like those tricks could be put to better use.
Maybe they should focus on making tracks that aren't twenty minutes long and don't waste my fucking time with messages like "the government is bad".
You're right though no other band were obnoxious enough in 1997 to think they could get away with that shit.
recs please, i dont care what you bunch of losers think 9 albums makes of my personality
go to /soc/ for that shit, you gaylords
wow, thanks for the music related reply on this music imageboard
Top middle is Stardeath and White dwarves, I think it's Wayne Coyne's nephew or something? Heavy psych/stoner rock
Top left is Temples. They only have one album it came out in 2014.
-lighter psych rock kind of beatles/tame impala vibe?
you're worried about what /mu/ thinks for some reason
