It's "calling out", but I agree, hugely underrated.

My favorite part is the melody on "What will happen to the vaaaampiiire cult?"

Love it everytime.

I fell asleep to this album and I woke up to Sideria while having sleep paralysis and I couldn't move, all my muscles tight and frozen, the backwards drums and sounds felt like a demon's voice whispering to me and as soon as those final eerie drones stopped, my body relaxed and I was free. Shit was intense.
>>
>>61971105

What if I already enjoy Bedhead?
>>
>>61971114
doesnt invoke the same response. its great duster but the element of stratosphere which makes it so good is how it absorbs you into this state where you feel like you're in space

Those vocals are something else. This is the kind of music I realize I've always wanted to listen to. It's fucking incredible and criminally underrated.

It's too short, and the only really unique thing about it is how lo-fi it sounds following the crisp recording of Reed To Hillsborough.

That album makes me nauseous.

It's good but some of it is sounds really cheesy.
>>
>>61972034

Truthfully, I'm a little indifferent on labeling Duster "space-rock" myself. Real space-rock is sprawling and grandiose, Duster is certainly not.

To me, Stratosphere sounds more like an astronaut in training who breaks his leg and has to watch his friends blast off and explore another planet while he's stuck at home popping Vicodin and romanticizing space the way kids do.

I prefer that to Hawkwind.
>>
how about Stratosphere be labeled as "atmospheric rock with a spacey atmosphere"

I couldn't agree more. An excellent description. I do love Duster so much. I'm just curious about the REALLY spacey progenitors.

Also, the kids fawning all over Stratosphere don't seem to know what my mega links are? Their loss.

I don't like when this album comes up because everytime I see the cover I think it's some electronic stuff, but then when I do a search I remember it's slowcore and then I recall I have seen it posted a gajillion times before. Maybe one day I'll actually listen to it.

Oh and not saying it's bad without listening to it first, but it doesn't seem like my thing and there's plenty of stuff on my backlog I'd prioritize listening to over this.
