Post what happens when a band makes an album so derivative of one genre that it's no longer good

how does it feel to be a worthless human being?

you should ask urself that question :^)

I think this album is overrated. It's okay, and will be enjoyed by people if you play it, but it's not remarkable in any way.

Post what happens when OP makes a shit thread

this is literally the best album of the 2000s fite me
>>
>>61946406
There are better albums that came out in the 2000's though, how can this be?
>>
>>61946406
It's unremarkable, low energy, easily accessible rock. I honestly don't get why anyone thinks this album is so special.

Room on Fire is better but i like both.

Under Control is their best song - has a certain R&B quality about it that I really like

How the fuck is "low energy" an insult to rock? The whole point of the fucking band is disaffection and malaise and ennui. The entire postrock genre is "low energy" by design, too, and if you dissed that for being vivacious then you'd get deservedly shit on.

he knows that's the band's shtick. he just doesn't like it.
just because dumb people would say dumb things to him in response to his dislike for the strokes doesn't mean anything you seem to think it might mean.

i love this album but i understand what he means. it's really faggy and degenerate, just like the velvet underground and lou reed, which i also love. it's complete garbage for you though. exactly like cigarettes.

Yeah, you're right about it being all right to diss the schtick, my bad. Not sure I'd say it's degenerate, though. There's smarter stuff in it than you give credit.

It's alright anon I agree with you here. First album I bought, and it stopped me from listening to shitty top 40
