Do you like chiptunes? What's your favourite (free) chiptune-inspired album? For me it's "Dreamnesia" https://gvarela.bandcamp.com/releases
how disrespectful, don't you think you are too agressive? maybe it's the shit music you listen to that makes you a person like that. I can recommend you some great chiptune albums if you want to :)
Chiptune is the most so. Even in rock music, you aren't limited to two pulse wave channels, a triangle wave channel, and a noise wave channel. You can do different stuff with a guitar.
Even when it isn't pure chiptune its infectious garbage. It's defined by being flat and uninteresting.
with chiptune you don't need to use only those channels (most of my favourite albums do not do that). and besides, It's never about what you "can" do, if it were you woudn't find thousands of guitarist all doing the same power chord crap (or blues guitarists always doing the same licks, and the list goes on and on).
You literally have no idea what you're talking about.
Blitz Lunars Child Play Zone is very well and thoroughly composed full with twists and turns you'd hear in a live combo setting.
You can deny it all you want mate, it doesn't change the fact that you're wrong and stupid for thinking your opinion even fucking matters.
Blitz lunars is literally only chiptune in that it uses square waves and white noise.
It could have been a great EDM album but it had to go for gimmicks instead.
Because chip tunes really rake in the cash and gigs right? I'm done arguing with retarded children on this board. Filtered your faggot ass.
Good luck doing anything worth a damn in life fuckface. You won't get far.
you are clearly very new to /mu/
don't make threads about shitty stuff that
1: nobody here likes
2: nobody anywhere likes
3: are objectively shit
yes, they are completely gimmicky because children like you don't even listen to the average vapid EDM, you have to listen to "look how hipster I am" trash like chiptune
Crying - Get Olde/Second Wind
>half chip, half guitar-based (like Anamanguchi, but better because the guitarist is classically trained), lead singer is a qt 3.14
Nah, Anamanaguchi are great. That new song Pop It? What a jam.
Pic is Rise of the Obsidian Interstellar by Disasterpeace.
This track they released not too long ago is really good, too. Give it a listen.
singer couldn't sound any more apathetic if she tried but I dig it regardless
Slime Girls is my favorite chiptune. Vacation Wasteland is the only cassette I've ever bought.
Yeah, I got it for a few reasons.
>the art looks good on a cassette
>I like owning a physical copy of my favorite albums
>with chiptune, quality doesn't really matter
>support the artist
>it was only like 10 bucks
Anything by 4mat anytime
Expect a new album over the course of the year
Chiptune fusion is my jam.
J. Arthur Keenes Band - Computer Savvy
Comfy chiptune indie pop
Giant Claw - Erasers Fantasy
Bizarre chiptune prog
Infinity Shred - Sanctuary
Sabrepulse - First Crush
Chip and bass with some dubstep
The Bronzed Chorus - Gleaning
Chiptune math rock
I listened to Dreamnesia because of this thread... I didn't like it. But I did make a Rate Your Music page for it.
Here's an album I do like.
Anymore stuff like the second half of this album?
