in my country its a bunch of teens with guitars who sing like lazy shit and make lazy music
I don't think I really got into it tbqh my bro but this is a spin of the classic "what age were you when you grow out of meal" meme. Its quite ironic to think that indie rock was so popular when the meme was being spouted on a daily basis and now /mu/ has grown out of it too.
Next it will be "what age were you when you grew out of Meme-rap?"
>"what age were you when you grew out of Meme-rap?"
Pro-tip: The year meme-rap becomes cool on /mu/ is whenever Pitchfork and TinyMixTapes decide that meme-rap isn't cool anymore.
That won't be for another 12 months at least.
im 21 and it's all i listen too still. it's catchy most times, sounds good to me and leaves me in a good mood so why stop.
only rap i listen to is future and drake because of the same reason
I listened to alternative forever, but was only recently introduced to Indie Rock
And you know, some of it, like Breton or The Features, is really excellent. I don't think I'll "grow out" of Indie Rock as it's both accessible and talented.
Not really, deerhunter, arcade fire and the national are considered indie rock so i dont know. I mean i can see what you are goin for since i dont know built to spill sounds different from them but yeah.
