mainly because /mu/tants don't want to be associated with the band's rather unpleasant fanbase which in this case is pretty well represented by your own dickish self

I'm 30 and I still crank Nirvana in my car, although mostly Bleach lately.

And also, from what I've seen at least they're not too underrated on here. I've seen lots of people call them a good band which I agree with. I'd even say they're very good. Some of it is also probably some form of jealousy over how big they got while the bands who inspired them (pixies) got left in the dust
