Just ordered this LP, what albums should I listen to if I liked this one? I tried Conference of the Birds and Pilgrimage, and they were okay, but not really what I'm looking for - perhaps something more Psychedelic Rock/Post Rock.
My Sleeping Karma, Stoned Jesus, Earthless, Asteroid, Kyuss, Truckfighters, Causa Sui, Electric Wizard, All Them Witches. That's all I got. Chech Stoned Meadow of Doom yt channel, or StonerRock in slsk. Those are gold mines to discover/dl stoner rock.
More stuff like what you posted but a little bit heavier and more drone:
>this is my favorite band and i'm pretty much only into stoner/drone/doom
>om- variations on a theme
>my favorite from this artist
>more bong that i just discovered that i haven't heard yet, seriously this group is AMAZING everything they release is awesome
>Ufomammut - Temple
>the bands most current release, as you go backwards in their discog it gets better. everything is great. heavier than om IMO
>Heavy doom, clean dramatic vocals
>Shrinebuilder-Blind for all to see
>supergroup of doom
>slomatics-return to kraken
>celebs of doom/stoner. this shit rocks
>Conan-Horns for teeth
>Super heavy tuned down riffage. Sword and shield type themes. Check out all of their music
I have way more recs that i post all the time if anyone wants
wow thanks for the effort, I'll be sure to check this out.
>i want bands similar to OM
>oh you want doom and stoner metal?
>no i said similar to-
>HAVE YOU EVER LISTENED TO ELECTRIC WIZARD DUDE IT'S LIKE THE BEST STONER DOOM OUT THERE
i swear to god /mu/
have a nice life - deathconsciousness
boris - flood
isis - oceanic
I listened to Electric Wizard (and HANL), I don't ask for Stoner Metal, I ask for albums similar to Adviatic Songs (if you listened to it you should've understood what I'm talking about, it is very different than Electric Wizard, and even Sleep for that matter)
That's what I said. you asked for similar to advaitic songs and people are sharing vanilla stoner doom like Acid King and Electric Wizard. It was sarcasm homie. Listen to those albums I rec'd.
here's some more meditative stoner rock, but it's more guitar focused than Om, iirc it has a sitar in it.
Godspeed you! black emperor has similar long building repetitive violin melodies on f# a# ∞ (I'm no familiar with the rest of their discog) but it's not as religiously themed or stoner sounding as om
toner low has a similar post rock-y stoner sound but is, again, more guitar focused
