>listen to it because of My Sharona
>mfw its actually the worst track on the album
This is the easiest way to spot somebody who's never listened to this album. He mentions his father in ONE song and only uses him as a springboard for the larger points he wants to make about the futility of war.
>a springboard for the larger points
exactly what ruins all of later Floyd albums
careful with that axe eugene
Atom Heart Mother
One of These Days
A Saucerful Of Secrets
were when floyd was at its best
DSotM, WYWH, and Animals, had their moments. The Wall was so so and Final Cut with everything that followed bight be decent albums but shouldn't be called Pink Floyd
That's fair, anon, and I wasn't trying to argue that Final Cut is some masterpiece, I know it's nowhere close to the band's best and should've been a solo album. That said, parroting some inaccurate non-criticism like >>61822500 as a reason to dismiss an album that I find to have merit still rubs me the wrong way.
so far i agree with everything in this thread
I'm not an AM fan, but I was surprised at how much I liked this one.
Some of the best and most original hip-hop ever made. I'm glad he's number one right now, he deserves every bit of fame he has.
