What's good music to listen to when you're unmotivated and hate yourself? Just got back from the other side of bipolar and I haven't felt this low in a long time
Well organized pop with themes about happiness, true love, life satisfaction, and good times, that is both critically acclaimed and universally appealing.
I would never listen to music that I can relate to, regardless of my life state. You should constantly be challenging your world view or else you'll just stagnate.
hey man that shit is rough. I'm not personally bipolar but my sister is type 2 and I've seen how it has affected her throughout the years. I am not sure what type of music you listen too but at her lowest she would always listen to city and colour. For my personally when I'm feeling down I usually listen to something to pick me up. Try Common - Be. When I feel like wallowing in self-pity usually I listen too bright eyes - i'm wide awake and it's morning.
Hang tight buddy, it'll get better soon.
same. I've been slowly been making my way through all the essentials. I'm like 50 albums deep and that is not even half way ahah
gotta remember that the charts are all very old. /mu/ has changed a LOT in the past 5 years. .
Pic related just feels like giving up to me. Everything sounds so halfhearted and unmotivated yet still really depressing
something like this.. dsbm has a strange way of making you feel nothing while at a low because the music oftentimes carries more fucked up emotions than you experience that you almost find it as a stress relief and the aggression or sadness contained make you lose yourself in it completely.. or is that just me?
If you like 70s punk you'll probably like this.
I'm picky. I don't even listen to ambient. Electronic has always been one of those genres that I struggle to find artists that I like. I like the avalanches, daft punk, but that's as far as I've been willing to go.
I don't do drugs. I listened to it loud enough.
slowcore is a pretty expansive subgenre
listen to this OP
dense, anxious, but hints of gentle beauty filter through
listen to the album I posted, I'll be surprised if you don't like it. There's notable jazz influences, strings that sounds like talk talk ( or debussy even) intresting production shit, but all of the songs are very slow and sad
This tbqh family
Lots of upbeat music. Try some math rock as well
Hey. I'm going in for therapy for the first time ever next week. It's been a long time coming.
Check your insurance to see if they'll cover. Otherwise get a new one. Then go. Yeah? If I can do it, so can you.
