i know hes gonna come back some day
hes gonna come back, for me
why am i even posting here
>NEW additions for 04/07/06(trial boards):
>. /mu/ - Music: ...has been added for discussion and uploads of images to music. Instrument pictures, band pictures, CD covers, album discussion, sheet music, etc. should all go here. Honestly, we don't see this thing lasting. We will not allow the upload of music files, due to bandwidth constraints and legal concerns. Sorry, it was NEVER our intention to allow uploads here: this will now change.
good taste in reaction images
always on topic, even his shitposts were music-related
knowledgeable in genres of music /mu/ knew nothing about (and still doesn't today)
what's not to like?
viralling before it was cool
oldest pic on my /mu/ folder is almost 6 years old... so around 6 years I guess.
vintage meme coming through
this is the oldest pic in my 4chan folder, originally saved 7/21/2006
>now everyone's passive aggressive and suffer from ADHD
>implying that wasn't the case back then
don't let those rose tinted glasses and "best of 4chan" threads fool you, we compile the best moments from each year so you'll forget about all the other garbage
I was there in 2009/2010, I don't remember much besides the fact that there was much more discussion of NMH and post-rock. I also remember the I WHIP MY HAIR and PUDDI PUDDI moments
I didn't think it was that old until I realized it was like 6 years ago and went into fetal position
dude that template is definitely not the oldest version.
4chan's problem at this point is that it just got too big, developed too much of a reputation. that reputation made outsiders come here and shit up the place.
now before someone gives me
>buh buh at some point u had 2 be outsider b4 coming to le chan!! m-muh seekrit klub!
yes that's true but there were a much smaller amount coming so they had to adapt to chan culture instead of acting like they were still on whatever site they came from. now, because there are so many offsiters coming at once, they don't have to because they just find others like them, act like they're on whatever site they came from (reddit seems to be the big one, with tumblr close behind), and stink up the place. this place was better when it was a secret club because there were less retards here.
tl;dr - too big, but not too big to fail
It was certainly more fun. /mu/ is so post-post-post-meta-ironic and forced-meme-y these days that I find it actually tiring to read arguments here. It is just not informative or funny most of the time
