ITT: Album covers that look like the music sounds
>>61779293
Why is eno so gay?
>>61780744
>I'll just call x gay, that will make them angry, i'm a troll genius
>>61780720
i always thought this cover was terrible and unfitting
makes it look like some myspace scenecore shit
It definitely sounds like a couple of guys playing guitars and drums
>>61780780
>implying that album isn't a predecessor to myspace scenecore shit
>>61780778
>im really defensive, I'm just gonna sperg out at someone being humorous
>>61780778
>guy in make-up, wig and crossed legs
>not gay

Don't see it at all. Maybe In Utero.
Very 80's and Crude.
>>61780876
But that album is post-rock anon...
>>61782124
So incredibly cheesy, campy, overblown, simplistic, and appeals to the lowest denominator?
>>61782221
most disappointing cover of all time, belongs in a college course about the co-opting of underground esthetics
>>61782379
my dad has this album
>>61781253
no
lol the first time I saw the demon days cover a few years ago I thought it looked pretty badass, and I assumed it was gonna be some bomb ass hip hop
>>61782330
>imply that bad crecendocore wasn't big with myspace sceners
>>61782348
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GRVM32ULWlo
You tell me.
>>61782405
I'm not sure how anyone could look at that and think it would be "bomb ass hip hop"
and ontop of that, who the fuck actually says things like "bomb ass"
>>61781426
Best answer
>>61782408
But it's not crescendocore either...
Crescendocore is stuff like EITS, GIAA, Mono etc. that sound like Mogwai Young Team and LYSF had a down syndrome child.
Pretty much any Burzum album fits the bill, with the possible exception of Daudi Baldrs, the cover of which made me expect a far more badass album than random tracks from runescape's soundtrack.
I can't believe no one has posted this yet

If you're expecting Mexican country music with a dance beat, then congrats, you're right.
>>61784494
yes
>>61786047
>Mexican country music with a dance beat
this could be great, or terrible
>>61782429
this would look intimidating to an 11 year old. i honestly didn't expect to hear some of the calmest and most laid-back music in existence
also I speak like a black person sometimes to put emphasis on things
>>61786082
It's probably bad
>>61782413
so yes?
>>61781426
>>61782221
well meme'd
>>61784535
haha, fuck yes!
>>61787821
>>61787755
Oops, didn't mean to quote.
>>61782355
>belongs in a college course about the co-opting of underground esthetics
those high-school notebook doodles?
>>61780813
Kek
>>61786933
>this would look intimidating to an 11 year old
maybe if seeing the cover of sgt peppers made you literally shit your pants from the scariness.
>>61782355
bro gimme a break
>>61784494
im excited to listen to it seen it alot recently
similar to what other vapor wave artists?
OH YEAH, THE WORLD'S TURNED UPSIDE DOWN
>>61779293
can anyone tell me if they'd take this seriously as a drone/ambient album
>>61782582
Put it down, asmz was so MySpace core it's not even funny a generation of stupid bird tattoos and shit
>>61788014
>take drone seriously
Well no I'm not a teenager if that's what you're asking.
>>61788174
But it's the notes they're not playing!
>>61788174
funny but wether you like the genre or not does the album cover fit that style?
>>61788252
It's much too busy and too many different colors for any genre
what a ride
>>61788941
ya
pretty solid footwork 10/10 would shake erratically to
>>61780893
That cover is interesting, which means that it doesn't look like how the album sounds at all.
>>61782389
you should listen to it sometime, its great
>>61784320
seconded
>>61788174
So you're saying that you DO take drone seriously then?
>>61787905
It's a downtempo album, a beautiful view-only world constructed entirely in-DAW. None of the big-name vapowave artists (Saint Pepsi, Macross, Macintosh Plus, etc) have released anything like this, and in fact it's roots are more in Eno, the Album Leaf, and BoC than vaporwave itself.
Brilliant album though.
>>61786933
It's incredibly iconic. Just different enough from the Hard Days Night cover to be it's own thing.
>>61786933
>>61781253
btw we all agree this is the best Gorillaz album (and best Albarn project), right?
>>61779481
>>61781237
>>61781253
>>61782379
>>61784320
>>61784494
Yes
>>61780769
>>61784343
>>61786955
Nah
>>61781381
This cover makes me feel warm inside when I look at it. It's exactly like the album sounds.
Same with HOOM, actually.
>>61789720
Cosmogramma is straight up outer space music, man.
