What does /mu/ think of this album?
>>61775454
He's fucking cute holy shit.
>>61775454
I really liked it, actually. Very safe and inoffensive to the point where I could see someone calling it boring, but it's also familiar and fun for the same reason.
>>61775454
>listening to anything other than Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge or The Black Parade
lmao
No Shows is my favorite Gerard Way related song, it's just too good
I could only get into the first quarter of this album though
is that bowies son
liked it more than most mcr albums. i think i only listened to it once like 2 years ago though.
half decent 5.5/10 at least
>>61775493
I think that's kind of what he was going for too. The whole safety of the record kind of ties in with the name.
>>61775519
Yuh No Shows is a great song
idk im a pretty big mcr fan and i just wasnt /too/ into it... it did have its moments, there was some nice fuzzy moments, but as a whole it just didn't really click for me
hopefully his next release fills me up a little more

Drugstore Perfume is GOAT

>not knowing that their first album is their only good one
>claiming differing opinions to my opinions
>being this wrong
>>61775554
I kind of agree, but I do hope he starts pushing the boundaries a little more if he does another solo record; I think there's a lot of potential there. The songs where he gets a little crazy, like The Bureau or Juarez, were the highlights of the album for me.
>>61775548
actually i skim-relistened and i hate it
>>61775625
Yeah I agree with you big time. I'd also heartily enjoy some more electronics/synthetic sounds being tied into the mix as well.
>>61775664
He said he intentionally made an album with lots of guitar because it was the least fashionable instrument in pop music these days
>>61775604
>first album
>good
Family please
>>61775630
Good thing nobody gives a single fuck about the opinions of tripfags.
>>61775454
I love Gerard but honestly it's embarrasssing hearing him try to switch teams (scene vs indie) this late in the game.
Sorry bro, both are dead.
>>61775734
Indie's dead? When did this come about?
>>61775734
>indie
>dead
Supreme kek
>>61775755
>>61775803
Yes, literally.
No, I'm referring to the 2007 era p4k sound
>>61775734
>Hesitant Alien is indie
>>61775889
What is it then
>>61775861

>>61775755
>>61775803

>>61775960

Just hit store shelves.
There is nothing more patrician than a choir of white children singing Hotline Bling.
Notably, Amazon Prime Members get it for free.
IBYML 5.5/10
TCFSR 8/10
TBP 8/10
Danger 5/10
HA: 6.5/10
>>61777074
Danger Days deserves better
>>61775454
Great album. More people need to listen to it.
>>61775580
I know right? perfect pop tune when you think about it
I know i'm hopeful for whatever direction he decides to go next
I want this man to go study at an observatory, he has a real nick for pop songwriting.
I think he could be a long lasting power in the popular music scene, and for good reason!
>>61777099
I enjoyed a few songs but it just felt underwhelming, especially as a final album. Also the concept behind it didn't seem all that interesting, but I guess it deserves another listen.
