They were objectively one of the greatest bands of all time, and the only reason /mu/ hates them is because they're contrarian hipsters.

They were a good band that appeals to teens, so the insecure autistic teens pretend they were bad because they think that means they're growing up.

Kurt had a god tier rock voice

the songs are so goddam simple but so good

I have lots of great memories of listening to them with friends in jr. high school, I had a crush on a girl and we would go to the beach and the amusement park, but she had an identical twin and I was so afraid that I couldn't tell them apart I didn't want to ask the wrong one out.
I was pumping gas when Kurt died and it really meant nothing to me at the time.
Now I still listen to the unplugged album but that's about it.

great fucking band. i get the negativity towards them...I GUESS, but you can't deny that their simplicity is their greatest aspect.
