This twat has a net worth of 200 million. Which deserving artist would you give the money to after murdering /robbing this shitstain?
I still don't enjoy his music, but he is trying his hardest to be less of an obnoxious shitstain, and definitely respect him for it.
I would keep the 200 mill.
I could live off that shit the rest of my life.
but I don't hate beiber or care for his music. think he turned out great. considering the industry tried their best to copy him. he's back and still selling tons of records. his manager is a genius
No, I'm talking about talent\hardwork and the rewards. Coltrane died broke, bitch. This fag doesn't deserve the luxury and I don't like record companies homoginizing and selling personality instead of music.
>the fact that the majority of people don't have a patrician taste in music is something new
>I can't believe the profit-focused pop music brings in more money than music with actual value
p l e a s e. this is 2016
It's funny, I didn't give a shit about him in his bowl cut period (when everyone was hating him), but when he became a wigger and everyone else stopped caring I started to get annoyed by him
>all these r/lewronggeneration "I don't like this music but I respect him as a person and an artist" underagers in here
Please go back to your quarantine subreddit on Reddit please, we don't need this shit here.
>Cream rises, son. Barring any mental defects.
You seriously believe that, given all the artists who failed miserably or were unappreciated in their time?
You're on a Vietnamese puppet board, not playing catch with your kid
What? I wasn't asking for shit, just pointing out the obvious fact that talent has never corresponded well with success
or even critical praise
. Read the 1970 reviews of Fun House
Wow! Really? Well, I guess that means Iggy Azalea, Nicki Minaj, Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, One Direction, PSY, etc. are the greatest musicians of this millennium! Thanks for opening my mind, faggot!
Well, I disagree, and I'm certainly not jaded. If anything I was more jaded when I was younger, because I had strange and unrealistic expectations which didn't match up with reality, which made me frustrated.
He's still making crazy money though. A Ferrari is hardly a dent in Bieber's pocket.
When his money dries up when his career ends, then yeah he'll have to be more frugal, and maybe then he'll end up like Coltrane.
Coltrane was loaded in his prime. Bieber's loaded in his. You can't compare the two.
tpab is much older than the other albums listed. it was at #1 when it came out. i just couldn't figure out why listing the billboard placements of 3 albums who came out at different times was relevant to anything.
>it was at #1 when it came out
Yeah, but for how long? You really think it's outselling Adele or twenty one pilots, or even coming close? Their album has been out for nearly as long (33 weeks) yet it's still within the top five.
The people that have been indoctrinated by the music industry has voted. If all the bookstores had only Twilight books, that'd be the only thing we'd buy.
>Yes, 4chan, I'M NOT A FUCKING ROBOT!
>killed a kid a drunk driving accident
>went of a spree of juvinile rampage
>did so and didn't care about it because he has enough money to avoid consequences
yeah.. .really respectable guy...
Divide it up, giving a small amount (relative to $200 mil) to people who deserve it, just enough to get them to record (and have time to record). God only knows how many potential greats are out there just scraping by, working 60 hours a week, without a rich parent to send them to music school
True musicians live for music. It isn't a case of "keep doing a job and make enough money so you don't have to do it forever". Miles Davis carried his horn with him till he died.
They're not representative of what's really popular. Just because you're on the radio doesn't change the fact that for every copy of TPAB that gets sold, there must be 50 copies of some shitty pop album being sold. It's like people who try to prove "the 80s weren't that bad" with Hüsker Dü
>This twat has a net worth of 200 million. Which deserving artist would you give the money to after murdering /robbing this shitstain?
Would do that
1-go to kickstarter and etc.. sites
2-Filter by not 100% backed musical projects
3-order by how close it is to be backed
4-give just the amount needed to the project be backed
4.1-(if they asked less than they need, its their fucking problem)
4.1.1-request the album as the prize (if available) to force them to finish it in the case of 4.1 happening
4.2- wont back post-grunge or pop punk bands, no solo musicians that arent 100% solo, no people that cant compose song, no artist that reference mainstream artists like they "were something send to earth by christian god"
And you get mad for calling you slow-headed. Here it is;
The popular stuff is overproduced, non-artistic crap (barring some). It's a marketing scam that record companies use and the shitty artists get a bigger audience, money, etc. while the non-marketable, good musicians are barely getting by.
The comparison to Twilight was that anyone looking to read a book would see Twilight everywhere and that's what they would buy. In turn, Twilight gets more exposure, more money while War and Peace is dead and forgotten. A mastery of writing and intelligence loses to easily digestible, mass produced garbage.
And we can curb that phenomenon by going out of our way to look past the shelves full of Twilight and buy a War and Peace. Look past the record company bullshit and support the true musicians.
My friend was talking about that, and even a plastic one is like 500$, and if I had the money I would pick up a trumpet as well but that's like 700$ so I'll stick to saving up for a bass. 200$ so far!
>If all the bookstores had only Twilight books, that'd be the only thing we'd buy.
Stupid comparison. You can buy/stream/listen to essentially any song or album you fucking want.
Music stores (AKA iTunes, Spotify, Soundcloud, etc) don't only stock Justin Bieber.
>Which deserving artist would you give the money to after murdering /robbing this shitstain?
no one, because people like Justin Bieber existed in one way or another throughout history. who gives a shit? people choose to spend money on him in return for his work, what is there to be angry about? good for him to milk the system, or be the face of an elaborate marketing strategy.
