I don't know about comparing albums directly to one another but these are other albums from 2015 I would put on a similar tier as TPAB:
All Them Witches - Dying Surfer Meets his Maker
Elder - Lore
Dr. Yen Lo - Days with Dr. Yen Lo
Cavanaugh - Time and Materials
Czarface - Every Hero Needs a Villain
The Grand Astoria - The Mighty Few
found this gem in a sharethread and fell in love with the second track
some really beautifully sad songs in this record
>implying anyone on this thread was shitposting
Thank you anon for contributing to the discussion and not shit posting
Oh no a meme but that's not a real opinion Im so turned off by your lack of maturity
>unless you are implying that these albums arent better than TPAB in which case
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA well memed!
Havent heard this
Havent head this
>inb4 omg mac miller made donald trump and knock knock i realize he used to suck but hes good now
>better production aside from the mixing but kendrick is on aftermath in a studio mathis is probably in his basement or his attic
>papa jonathan mathis'
Im not even one of the shills either but to answer your question yes I do think that it was and is better than TPAB.
Come on guys post more I know you can find more albums better than Kendrick's come on moo we got this.
its an interesting concept. it isnt like vaporwave or cloud rap. hold on.

his "instructions" make me kek its genius
You nailed it its just a lot trippier and less reliant on humor. The second half on Wai Tu Long Song sounds like Eminem going off on Groundhog Day go listen to that track if you havent heard it. The second half not the long, repetitive, lyric-heavy first half. If Im honest Id say he sounds more like Earl than either of the two rappers you named.
I still find it funny that some guys makes a gem, shoves it onto /mu/, /mu/ admits its great, and he remains entirely underground and irrelevant. Just funny. I have listened to it four times so far and it just grows on me more and more.
This is a good point. For all the hate that TPAB gets, you need to admit how impactful the record was. I myself wasnt a fan but I still think its decent, not deserving of as much praise as it gets... but hey, lifes too short to be a hater.
What is so appealing about this album?
Dont be a jerk.
>not listening to the entire album at once when youre stoned
Dont call yourself a fan if youre telling this man to listen to the outro track. Not only that, I bet hes sober af rn. Smh desu senpai. Im seriously disappointed in you.
The fuck is this shit?
>the best album of 2015 is mtv garbage
>pic related is not better but deserves some recognition
Since TPAB was my top album of 2015, I'll post some albums I thought were pretty underrated in 2015 and are worth a listen and my favorites from said albums
>Carpenter Brut - EP III
A synthwave EP. He also released an album titled Trilogy which is just EPs 1-3 in an album. If you like synthwave or retrowave, or whatever you call it, this is obviously worth a listen.
>Division Ruine, Paradise Warfare, Run Sally Run, Turbo Killer, Anarchy Road, Invasion AD
>Mutemath - Vitals
This album was really poppy, even for Mutemath. The songs are really catchy though. Great indie/pop album in general.
>Joy Rides, Light Up, Monument, Stratosphere, Vitals, Used To, Best Of Intentions, Bulletproof, Safe If We Don't Look Down
>Ratatat - Magnifique
This album had a lot of hits and a lot of misses. The misses weren't terrible, but boy did the hits hit hard.
>Cream On Chrome, Countach, Nightclub Amnesia, Abrasive, Pricks Of Brightness
>Badbadnotgood/Ghostface Killah - Sour Soul
Although pretty much everyone knows about this, I feel like the hype died down really fast and it was very quickly forgotten about, which is a shame in my opinion because I really enjoyed it.
>Sour Soul, Six Degrees, Mind Playing Tricks, Ray Gun
This was better, and I don't even consider it AOTY.
that song sucks though wtf you chose the LITERAL worst song wtf is wrong with yo youre really going to amke me o this?
these songs are all actually amazing but u gotta be able to relate and get trippy for a minute
These are all of the album everyones complaint is that he repeats chords like WHO FUCKING CARES thats fucking punk/grunge thats what they do hes doing all the sounds himself its about the vibes and the songwriting dont be like bleh hes repeating chords so does like 100% of pop music listen to the fucking beautiful noises and words. ive never even liked cudi till i heard this fuck man LISTEN!!!
