Babyshambles is a really bad name for a band
A bit generous IMO but it's your taste
gave soft bulletin 3.5
Safe as milk 2.5
I still haven't listened to Born to Run
is it really that fantastic?
I should listen to Improvised Music From Japan
that is a fairly large gap in the dates
I think Ella and Louis and Black Fire deserve higher ratings desu
Scenery rating is too low
I still need to listen to Graceland in it's entirety
I don't know
>those 1 stars
were they that bad
I don't know anything here
Mine. I did rate a fair share of singles recently, huh.
>were they that bad
In no way can Heavy Rocks be that bad.
Wait what people remember me?
And tricot's two full lengths are awesome, both solid 4s. The single isn't really special, but thanks it was a one off I think.
>Peep Show trip
I like you.
accurate hill and monk, need to listen to that coleman album
id add .5 to scenery
125 rue are fantastic, check out the maggot split too
This start with Freak Out! and then go from there.
I know, I always find loads of mistakes in my reviews. My excuse for this one is that this was like in 1am and after Tokyo Anal Dynamite, so it's expected to make few mistakes.
why put both 3/5 and 6/10? afraid your readers can't multiply?
Ted Curson is good
I haven't even heard that radiohead single I"m so cool
宇宙コンビニ is pretty meh desu
no rating it 100% objective ;)
I've heard Ella sing Gershwin songs and I wasn't all that enthused. It was good but lacking.
8/10 – Lamb – Fear of Fours
8/10 – Pedestrian Deposit – Fatale
5/10 – Xiu Xiu – Kling Klang
5/10 – Melvins – Colossus of Destiny
7/10 – Kylie Minoise – Psychedelic Satanism!
9/10 for Egrets: nice. I just listened to it for the third time yesterday, I'll wait until a fourth listen until I rate it for sure but it's one of my favourite albums in the genre.
It's so frustrating that The 80 Minute Râga was only released on vinyl with each raga split over two sides, I really like the music but that almost ruins it. I should look for something similar.
>why put both 3/5 and 6/10? afraid your readers can't multiply?
I also wrote
I think it's pretty obvious I base my readers intelligence on my own intelligence.
would you stick your dick in the Dob
>check out the maggot split
I'll be doing that soon
it's pretty short anyway
have you listened to La Monte Young's Black Record yet?
TAD definitely is a journey
ONE TWO THREE FOUR
>宇宙コンビニ is pretty meh desu
what makes you say that
who started this trend
>The Legendary Chinese Hits
this looks interesting
judge me, the Bartok one has been recently bumped from a high 4 to a more fair and appropriate 4.5
that man looks sympathetic and I would buy him a beer
about 宇宙コンビニ though, that album just had nothing standing out, it was utterly inoffensive IMO. Too convoluted to have the beauty of simplicity, but nothing to hold on to.either. it's just too slick for me I guess.
hot rats is a favorite of mine, like top 5 jazz
>why put both 3/5 and 6/10?
After much deliberation I've decided that, yeah this is stupid, and the rating in stars is right there besides the review anyway, so I'll just use x/10 from now on, even if it is just multiplying the stars.
How does it feel to have the worst music taste on /mu/? Really, I'm curious.
I'm noticing you desu
I'd judge you but haven't listened to anything on yours
I should probably listen to them sometime though
I just think it's great cause it's very pretty and like you said inoffensive math rock
and I like pretty music
this is probably why I can't review anything
does that makes those albums higher than 5 stars then?
dunno about bears but definitely would buy him a beer if I was a drinker
I think he would be fun to drink with
he's hilarious on shows like QI and Would I Lie to You
it feels okay
>does that makes those albums higher than 5 stars then?
I'm not OP, just sharing my opinion. Honestly rating on a 5 star scale is kind of hard with those 4, Nebraska is a very slow album, The River and Darkness on the Edge of Town are done more traditional with some fast paced tracks and some downer ones that come out of nowhere. Born to Run is pretty much non stop high paced rock and roll. I think you could rate them all differently depending on which style you tend to like more. If you forced me to rate them out of five I'd give Darkness and The River 5 stars and Nebraska and Born to Run 4 stars.
>Mark with a moustache
Holy crap I forgot about that phase.
And yeah I baso-fucking-lutely would stick the dick in the Dob. That scene were they're on the storage room was one of the most pornographic things I've ever saw.
>I'm not OP, just sharing my opinion.
I'll check the albums out one day and see if I like em
I have a feeling I won't enjoy Nebraska much though because of the slowness but I'll give it a try if I like Bruce's other stuff
>That scene were they're on the storage room was one of the most pornographic things I've ever saw.
fuck yes that scene was hot
you seen any season 9 stuff yet?
I've only seen the first 2 episodes so far but they were pretty interesting
you know i'm no good...........
I should thank you, I thought it was just the youtube track, but apparently the guy who did got enough positive feedback, from Sunn O))) of all places to make entire album.
I need to listen to this asap.
Why didn't you like that Haino?
Fire! is cool. The new Gustaffson collab with Brian Chippendale should be neat.
La Monte Young's stuff hasn't aged that well
You're so cool
why do you like egrets so much?
125, rue montmartre is <3
fix that font rendering
have you listened to bartok's string quartets? some of the best ever written
>how do you feel about Jez's gay sex?
Weird as fuck but has precedents.
>The new Gustaffson collab with Brian Chippendale
Are they releasing an album together this year?
>why do you like egrets so much?
It's a great mix of emotional expression, something you hardly see in onkyo, and textural exploration. It did what the NIMB series normally does in a much more captivating fashion.
hmm interesting. I listened to it a few years ago but don't remember much about it, I'll have to give it another shot. I think his recent collaborations have drifted away from stereotypical onkyo quite a lot. I saw him with jason kahn, tetuzi akiyama, and bryan eubanks a few months ago and the set was surprisingly active and free improv-like.
check out the juilliard recording too
>Are they releasing an album together this year?
Yep, them and the bassist from Zu. It's coming out in a couple weeks. There's gonna be a tour too
Oh hey, someone else who compulsively listens to all of Drumm's stuff. I'm pretty sure I added both of those albums to rym. January isn't up on slsk yet though.
I decided to 'subscribe' to him on bandcamp since he puts music out so often. if you check slsk now you should be able to find it from me, or whoever downloaded it from me last night.
