I already listened to /mu/core and a bunch of Pitchfork shit when I arrived. ~2008
Then I started listening to meme rap and pop ironically. At one point, meme rap was 80% of the music I listened to. ~2010-2013
In the meantime I also got into a lot of EAI and onkyo stuff. ~2012
Now I exclusively listen to hip hop, Korean and Japanese pop and various Erstwhile artists.
I didn't originally like it, and I thought a lot of meme rap artists such as Lil B were a joke. I also loathed Drake and Lil Wayne. I started listening to them as a joke, but now I sincerely like all of them. Chief Keef is my favorite artist ever.
>and there's nothing separating it from any other music intellectually.
Well that's objectively false. There are a lot of things different.
But the problem is that people realize that objectivity in music is impossible.
once again if you can't separate /mu/'s shallow culture from your listening experiences, then you're a loser and you should probably just stop listening to music cuz it's obvious you don't care about it.
That's wrong. A listener of classical music could easily understand the formal procedure of a pop song, while a listener of pop could never understand the form of classical works.
hey guys what's going on in this thread

Probably the shitposting stage. I'm only here out of habit these days.
