The sound of sliding up or down the strings of a bass. I don't know why; it doesn't even have to be organic, pretty much any sliding at low frequencies gets me rock hard.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l-GwX5x1cio&t=35s
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o4g-3WRXIts&t=3m3s
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RByvzmmEFiQ&t=3m20s
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H3-vDWJrCmc&t=1m27s (not much sliding in this one, but the bassline is dynamic enough for it to be one of my favorites)

Can't really think of much else off the top of my head right now... Anyone know of music that does this a lot?

Most of the stuff from that Numan album is pretty irregular, but Telekon track proper
is the strangest one. rumor has it GN was on the verge of a breakdown during the sessions.

fuck understatement and "self-awareness", that's lame

Uptempo harpsichord.

Nothing quite as beautiful. Shame I can't seem to find much contemporary stuff with harpsichord. Dead instrument.

Not OP but Multiply by Asap Rocky or Value 10 by Lee Bannon off the top of my head
>>
-hard sub bass with that shitty sound (old jungle)

-orchestrated samples from older tunes of any sort

- said orchestral samples used for stabs.. i like hearing a nice stab then an arp'd bass line on top of it, usually plucky.

- creative use of 808, especially enjoy hearing what vibert does to an 808 sound.

- low and hi shelf contrasts, you hear it a lot in jungle/dnb music

- bass rolls especially found in "post-dubstep" (if I may!)

- post production shit i enjoy: a nice use of mid-band split on a reverb plugin for "glueing" sections together.. if done right it makes my ears spark...

forgot to mention the Hurdy Gurdy.
