Tyondai Braxton is a fucking God
>>53334931
Baroness is so good man.
Red > Yellow > Blue > Green imo
>>53332542
have you heard xe yet?
>>53335429
I have! Enjoyed it a lot. I've only given it one listen through so far though, so I can't really coherently talk about it. But I just loved the improvisatory nature of it.
I picked up the taste from my dad and its a pretty good album mostly instrumental
>>53335453
yeah, its just one of those things that has such a hypnotic feel to it and its so easy to get lost in
i personally think new slaves is zs best album but xe is probably a close second
A Tear For Eddie is just now ending. Fantastic song.
this bad boy
>>53335513
I like the ''cleaner'' sound of Xe. Makes it a much more coherent album IMO.
>>53332542
>Similar to Philip Glass.
Please don't talk about Zs that way.
>>53335144

Been digging into Alex G's older stuff and damn this guy is talented
>>53333870
Fucking 5/5 album
>>53336231
alex g is incredible i remeber my first time delving into all his albums & was just floored. it's really humble & beautiful shit like one of those special songwriters that come around once in a while.
>>53336272
yea, reminds me a lot of Elliott Smith. DSU, Trick, Race, Rules, and Winner are what I've listened to so far, I think theres a few more on his bandcamp still.
>>53336325
i love elliot smith & see the similarities but (i dont mean this in a bad way) alex g feels a lot rougher round the edges which is exciting to listen to because you can clearly hear him pushing himself into different directions on each release. god knows what kind of level shit he'll be putting out in five years time.
>>53336428
yea, I totally agree. I personally enjoy Alex G a lot more than Elliott, but there are some obvious influences. And yea, super excited to see where he goes after DSU (which is my favorite by him).
Liking this a lot so far
>>53336474
if boy is any indication of what the future holds i'm very very excited.
