i recently released my first as well. good stuff!
Let's try to have some feedback and constructive criticism instead of just circlejerking with recs!
>>53002322
I had never gotten around to listening to this until the Foliage split, and I'm glad i did! Really chill stuff, the beats remind me of Tycho a bit, and the guitars work well with them.
>>53002384
The problem is that this is so lo-fi it becomes muddy and jagged-sounding, not in a good way. The music itself isn't bad though. I might suggest not charging for it, especially since it's just a few short songs.
>>53002481
This is really cool, I can definitely see the first-wave vibes. I like the organic production, lo-fi but not overly so. Vocals (in certain parts) might be a cool thing to try with it.
>>53002740
This is interesting. I like the wall-of-sound you've got going on track 3, I can picture myself getting lost in it if it were longer. Only problem is that the ambient tracks are too quiet compared to the metal ones, and it's a pretty sharp contrast.
>>53002782
Good stuff, the second track is really groovy.
>>53003101
Vocals are... interesting. Not sure exactly what you're aiming for, but the combination of relaxing music (at the beginning at least) and moaning, off-key vox is pretty unsettling.

>>53002481
I love the clean production on this, I see some hints of math rock on some of these tracks very well. This is very nice, you guys have a very well polished sound.
>>53002543
You have a pretty good sound as well for a solo project. I listened to your first album a while back and liked it. I think on your latest project, the tracks seem a little out of order, but that's not necessarily bad if you're not going for order. I like your sound, though.
>>53002740
I enjoyed your s/t the most out of what I heard, the production was the best there as well. You have some really intense, diverse stuff on your bandcamp altogether.
>>53002782

>>53002839
I don't normally like vapor-whatever but these are some really good songs. The samples are well-arranged and the percussion really gives the songs a big boost. Has a cool surreal vibe to it, look forward to the completed album!
>>53003069
This reminds me a little of Steve Roach. could definitely picture it playing at a planetarium or something. If I could make one recommendation it would be to try experimenting with more stuff going on at the same time, instead of just one or two chords. Screw around with the different channels and see what kind of effects you can get!

I listened to Raincoat, pretty cool chill sound you've got, maybe look for some different drum samples, they're a bit cheesy sounding and personally I don't think they flatter the rest, at least that crash and snare. Overall though it's really nice.
>>53002384
I agree with what >>53003405 said, it's a bit much as far as how lofi it is, but your songwriting ability is definitely there.
>>53002474
This is nice, but I feel like the drums are a bit too abrasive in parts. It works with certain sections, but overall I think the drums break up the songs a bit. It works really well on the noisier parts, and you do that very very well. Nuclear Sunrise is nothing short of fantastic.
>>53002481
this is pretty cool. Really like the instruments and vocals. I feel like the instrumentals however are weaker. They feel like they're missing vocals, and your vocalist definitely works well.
>>53002543
Listened to a bit of Hama, there's some sexy leadwork on this. Bass tone is fantastic too, if not a touch loud in the mix. This is genuinely really neat. I feel like some parts could go a bit heavier, but that's personal preference, and it definitely doesn't sound wimpy.
>>53002590
This is beautiful for what it is. Really dreamy feeling, but it is a bit disappointing that none of these really progress.

Hey again, sorry I missed you in the last thread. It was dead when I woke up.
I use magical8bit plugin with Ableton Live. If you're wanting to get into just pure chiptune music without a lot of other elements, or even music that features 8-bit sounds more than other sounds, I would recommend looking into Little Sound DJ.

If you want to do what I do and just include 8-bit sounds in otherwise non 8-bit music, magical 8-bit is a pretty great if somewhat limited plugin. Plogue Chipsounds can do pretty much everything with insane detail and control but it's $95 which is too steep for me.
I use a lot of plugins from this list, great stuff here. I've heard Peach VST is amazing but I can't use it since I produce on a MacBook.

It's not bad it's just not doing anything for me, honestly started giving me a headache, couldn't make it very far into any of the songs.
>>53003278
This has a lot of potential but honestly the panning bothers me a bit and makes it hard to really listen to.
>>53003292
Downloaded this the other day, really charming.
>>53003295
I like this, I'll be sure to look out for when it's done being recorded.
>>53003445
It's interesting how abrasive this is, and yet it's not sharp sounding or painful. You've got a really nice texture to this.
>>53003578
Reminds me of some of the tracks off of Syro. Pretty cool.
>>53003649
Something's off about the production, not sure what, just something's bothering me, I guess the vocals are a bit piercing? Pretty nice melodies though.

hey dude thanks for listening. yeah this is definitely not for everyone. i'm just trying to make a really honest project by incorporating everything i like about music i listen to instead of trying to appeal to anybody. but i really enjoy your music. i usually never care for pop punk but this is a definite exception. keep it up man
>>53012832
wow that is some great feedback :) thanks for giving it a listen much appreciated
>>53013278
I can respect that, it definitely sounds like there's a lot of emotion put into it. Thanks also, I've been getting that from a lot of people that aren't normally into pop punk.
>>53012218
Nice shit man. I like this a lot. Keep it up.
All the metalfags and memecore mecha yuri cuntsicles should listen to this trash.

Thanks for listening man. Sorry you weren't feeling it. What was giving you a headache exactly?
>>53010207
this needs to be longer, more like dank kush...
>>53013462
ehh not really sure. I think it's just not for me. Just not personally into the sound you're going for, might be how fuzzy everything is.
>>53013462
actually now that I'm listening again it's growing on me I think.
>>53010703
It doesn't have a title yet, we are still tracking stuff right now. Part of the reason it's taking so long is because I'm leaving march to go hiking/backpacking from Georgia to Maine. Fuckin psyched! Hopefully I'll get alot of ideas while I'm out there, so I can come back and finish the last half the album.
>>53013523
>>53013574
Lol well thanks, I really appreciate you giving it another chance.
Checked your music, and while I'm not much of a pop punk guy, you really have some talent and some pretty great lyrics and vocal melodies. Keep it up.
>>53013832
Thanks so much. Also yeah I don't know what was going on the first listen, maybe I was overanalyzing it.
>>53012751
>>53012949
hey thanks a lot man!
I have heard of Little Sound DJ and have been kind of messing around with it, but wasn't sure if that was the best approach, especially since I do actually want to try experimenting with mixing it with some other instruments.
I have Ableton so I'll start by checking out magical 8-bit and that list.
Love your tracks btw if that isn't obvious
