cool single man, i like how the bass comes in. real drums would be nice but it works, kinda reminds me of melancholy hill by gorillaz.
I'm OP, curious what u think of my new stuff, I think you liked my old album Legitimate. I will say this one might require a download and a couple listens

Let's try to have some feedback and constructive criticism instead of just circlejerking with recs!
I had never gotten around to listening to this until the Foliage split, and I'm glad i did! Really chill stuff, the beats remind me of Tycho a bit, and the guitars work well with them.
The problem is that this is so lo-fi it becomes muddy and jagged-sounding, not in a good way. The music itself isn't bad though. I might suggest not charging for it, especially since it's just a few short songs.
This is really cool, I can definitely see the first-wave vibes. I like the organic production, lo-fi but not overly so. Vocals (in certain parts) might be a cool thing to try with it.
This is interesting. I like the wall-of-sound you've got going on track 3, I can picture myself getting lost in it if it were longer. Only problem is that the ambient tracks are too quiet compared to the metal ones, and it's a pretty sharp contrast.
Good stuff, the second track is really groovy.
Vocals are... interesting. Not sure exactly what you're aiming for, but the combination of relaxing music (at the beginning at least) and moaning, off-key vox is pretty unsettling.
>noise, shoegaze and black metal, wall of sound
we collaborated with a noise musician named Xybixs who posts in these threads sometimes
also here is some feedback, kinda
I love the clean production on this, I see some hints of math rock on some of these tracks very well. This is very nice, you guys have a very well polished sound.
You have a pretty good sound as well for a solo project. I listened to your first album a while back and liked it. I think on your latest project, the tracks seem a little out of order, but that's not necessarily bad if you're not going for order. I like your sound, though.
I enjoyed your s/t the most out of what I heard, the production was the best there as well. You have some really intense, diverse stuff on your bandcamp altogether.
bretty gud waiting for an actual release tho
I love this, I think some better percussion or drum machine could really make this shine. I like your guitar song.
I fucking love your sound this is so good. Do you have plans for a full length?
Holy shit. Dude, this is really fucking kool. I love it.
Really fucking kool as well. Reminds me of The Seeds' Raw and Alive
>acoustic / electronic
just put up a new album(!)
released a few demos, much more is in the process of being released, enjoy!
>chillwave // glo-fi // dreampop
I think I said this was mediocre last night when I had a headache, but now that I listen again, it's really intense stuff, albeit a little too loud. Reminds me of the drop from Earthmover on crack.
I don't normally like vapor-whatever but these are some really good songs. The samples are well-arranged and the percussion really gives the songs a big boost. Has a cool surreal vibe to it, look forward to the completed album!
This reminds me a little of Steve Roach. could definitely picture it playing at a planetarium or something. If I could make one recommendation it would be to try experimenting with more stuff going on at the same time, instead of just one or two chords. Screw around with the different channels and see what kind of effects you can get!
>I think I said this was mediocre last night when I had a headache, but now that I listen again, it's really intense stuff, albeit a little too loud. Reminds me of the drop from Earthmover on crack.
It probably is mediocre, but yeah we're going for the loud sound. Thanks for the feedback though!
>Black Metal, Underproduced, DSBM, Atmospheric, Cold
>Black Metal, Cvlt Metal
>Electric Wizardesque, Doom Metal, Lo-fi
single from our upcoming release
Hey thanks for the feedback. I guess I'm kinda going for lydia lunch style no wave vocals if that makes sense? Trying to create dissonance between dream Pop esque instrumentals and off key vocals. For some reason I love hearing off key vocals in poppy music but it's definitely not for everyone.
So glad you like it man. You know already that I love your sound too. And yeah I'm going to be working on a full release. I'm going to be releasing 1-2 tracks either tonight or tomorrow featuring some droning female vocals and sonic youth esque instrumentals.
>cute pop rock about sad things sung by a vocaloid
>So glad you like it man. You know already that I love your sound too. And yeah I'm going to be working on a full release. I'm going to be releasing 1-2 tracks either tonight or tomorrow featuring some droning female vocals and sonic youth esque instrumentals.
I'll be looking forward to that
I fucking love this. I'm so glad the vocals are chill, and laid into the mix well. Rather than the stupid half yelling typical emo voice. I love the grainy drum sound as well. Great stuff, I'll be looking forward to your next release. Something like this could not come at a better time.
Our new song is up, and sadly nobody's really listening.
>Miminal Techno, Ambient, Glitchy
I think if you guys fleshed out your sound a little bit more, maybe made the guitars heavier, this would be much better. I liked near the end where the atmosphere got a little more heavy with the guitar solo. You guys are a good jam band. I like your sound, nonetheless. Good shit.
Free EP, Experimental/Electronic/Alternative rock. Nice and Bass-y.
>experimental hip-hop instrumental
Posting this again since I updated a few tracks that sounded off to me.
I also wanted to thank everyone here who liked and commented on my work. You guys are the best, seriously!
digging the drum machines. made me feel very relaxed.
this is amazing. seriously. i love your use of the instrumental midis. downloaded.
i love lo fi shit, but this just sounds like someone is hitting a fence with a stick when you strum.
take a minute to download if you like it. checking others now

>album is still just instrumentals
>vocals are still "coming soon"
I really enjoy all of these.
I've been working with a friend lately who has helped a little in writing so I should have some new songs up soon.
some guy used to call dave a dying dog that need to be taken behind a barn. the same guy spammed dave around and made him into a meme and admitted he was the dying dog guy.
so daves rep has taken a major hit and so has mine since people claim my band is a dave project.
I can see, dave, why you would want to know why you are a meme, but... you already are well aware of our concerns.

They made a metaphor about us being like scribbling marker on a Picasso. I think they thought that we had sampled the instruments, which wasn't the case. Will check your stuff out shortly.
>lofi, sadcore, bedroom pop, lyrics about being a piece of shit
feedback soon xo
this was a very soothing experience
same with this one, very cute

love all yr stuff already & loving the new single dude, love hearing yr stuff with vocals. chorus bangs hard af
idk what you recorded this on but it's really sounds on the bad side of lo-fi, instead of adding character it just sounds sorta lazy. I like the actual tunes tho, i'd love to hear them recorded better
just listened to sewing machine, sounds like a really good instrumental, i'd love it if it had some vocals though, maybe like just some lofi shouty shit or s/t would be great with the energy of the track
really fucking beautiful, really digging it. has a super nice cohesive feel to it def gonna dl this and listen to it on a walk or s/t xo
idk why i haven't listened to this sooner but it's rad af. has a great airy-yet-lofi vibe i love in electronic stuff. dl'ing this shit too xo
listened to this the other day, really like it. super charming and rad. i give it 4/5 thumbs up
kk imma do some more l8r maybe, theres always so much good stuff in these threads <3
all stuff i've listened to before and liked very much, check it out!
>new album it's electronic folk for the most part, thanks if you give it a listen :)
thanks so much wow
i like you're recording style, it reminds me of old coma cinema. the lyrics can get a little chessy for me sometimes, though. still a really good collection of songs, though.
thanks dude, glad you liked it. I know it's kinda of a cop out to say the lyrics are *supposed* to be cheesy but they kind of are lol. Thanks for giving it a listen regardless man, i appreciate it
no problem dude, keep it up!
>recorded at home
This makes me really happy. There's a really cool atmosphere here that I'm enjoying a lot.
I listened to Raincoat, pretty cool chill sound you've got, maybe look for some different drum samples, they're a bit cheesy sounding and personally I don't think they flatter the rest, at least that crash and snare. Overall though it's really nice.
I agree with what >>53003405 said, it's a bit much as far as how lofi it is, but your songwriting ability is definitely there.
This is nice, but I feel like the drums are a bit too abrasive in parts. It works with certain sections, but overall I think the drums break up the songs a bit. It works really well on the noisier parts, and you do that very very well. Nuclear Sunrise is nothing short of fantastic.
this is pretty cool. Really like the instruments and vocals. I feel like the instrumentals however are weaker. They feel like they're missing vocals, and your vocalist definitely works well.
Listened to a bit of Hama, there's some sexy leadwork on this. Bass tone is fantastic too, if not a touch loud in the mix. This is genuinely really neat. I feel like some parts could go a bit heavier, but that's personal preference, and it definitely doesn't sound wimpy.
This is beautiful for what it is. Really dreamy feeling, but it is a bit disappointing that none of these really progress.
I can't decide whether I like this or not. It definitely was an experience that affected me on a visceral level and I ended up staring at my wall for 5 minutes. Sorry I can't give any real feedback.
I'll probably lurk a bit and listen to more, but honestly after >>53002782 I need to take a break
>new track I just released
>featuring tidepools on some vox
checking out and giving feedback to others rn
making music videos, got an ep to ut out soon if i'm feeling it, late to the thread so it doesn't matter
have a nice week anons
Hey again, sorry I missed you in the last thread. It was dead when I woke up.
I use magical8bit plugin with Ableton Live. If you're wanting to get into just pure chiptune music without a lot of other elements, or even music that features 8-bit sounds more than other sounds, I would recommend looking into Little Sound DJ.
You can get it for really cheap and emulate it and once you want to record/play live you can put it on a Gameboy cartridge.
Lo Fi bedroom pop rock
If you want to do what I do and just include 8-bit sounds in otherwise non 8-bit music, magical 8-bit is a pretty great if somewhat limited plugin. Plogue Chipsounds can do pretty much everything with insane detail and control but it's $95 which is too steep for me.
I use a lot of plugins from this list, great stuff here. I've heard Peach VST is amazing but I can't use it since I produce on a MacBook.
Okay the first track really didn't do anything for me, but goddamn that second track is fantastic. The juxtoposition of the really energetic dry drums and the really ethereal... everything else really works.
your mom knows what's up. Yeah this is pretty cool, probably get a 4/5 for me. Honestly the panning is probably what really makes it work well for me.
man this is pretty, I don't even really know what else to say, it's just chill and pretty.
Rad playing man, you're fucking talented.
mmmmmmmmmmm keep doing what you're doing this is fucking nice.
I'm sorry I don't like anything about this, but it's clearly not written for me.
It's not bad it's just not doing anything for me, honestly started giving me a headache, couldn't make it very far into any of the songs.
This has a lot of potential but honestly the panning bothers me a bit and makes it hard to really listen to.
Downloaded this the other day, really charming.
I like this, I'll be sure to look out for when it's done being recorded.
It's interesting how abrasive this is, and yet it's not sharp sounding or painful. You've got a really nice texture to this.
Reminds me of some of the tracks off of Syro. Pretty cool.
Something's off about the production, not sure what, just something's bothering me, I guess the vocals are a bit piercing? Pretty nice melodies though.
hey dude thanks for listening. yeah this is definitely not for everyone. i'm just trying to make a really honest project by incorporating everything i like about music i listen to instead of trying to appeal to anybody. but i really enjoy your music. i usually never care for pop punk but this is a definite exception. keep it up man
All the metalfags and memecore mecha yuri cuntsicles should listen to this trash.
It doesn't have a title yet, we are still tracking stuff right now. Part of the reason it's taking so long is because I'm leaving march to go hiking/backpacking from Georgia to Maine. Fuckin psyched! Hopefully I'll get alot of ideas while I'm out there, so I can come back and finish the last half the album.
Lol well thanks, I really appreciate you giving it another chance.
Checked your music, and while I'm not much of a pop punk guy, you really have some talent and some pretty great lyrics and vocal melodies. Keep it up.
hey thanks a lot man!
I have heard of Little Sound DJ and have been kind of messing around with it, but wasn't sure if that was the best approach, especially since I do actually want to try experimenting with mixing it with some other instruments.
I have Ableton so I'll start by checking out magical 8-bit and that list.
Love your tracks btw if that isn't obvious
>depressive black metal, ambient
>ambient shit here and there
