believe it or not I actually admire kids like this

sure he might not come across as very experience or very sure of himself, but he shows dedication. For example look at the youtube interviews he managed to get, those took dedication and strength to actually reach out to those people knowing there was a good chance he would be rejected or even ridiculed. He is clearly dedicated and passionate about music and so is following his dream. Kids like this should be empowered by praise to build upon the initiative they are already using instead of being looked down upon.

The kid has been doing this since he was around 12. 12! That's some dedication.

The real question here is though is if 4channers are so insecure that they feel emasculated by a 14 year old who is obviously more impassioned than them who is living his dream, and so feel the need to talk smack about him in order to convince themselves that they are superior. If you really need to talk smack about a 14 year old (or anyone for that matter) in order for you to feel better about yourself you should probably stop doing that.
