New 5x5 last 7 days thread:
Guess personalities, hobbies, interests, etc. Feel free to get or give recs.
You exclusively wear black and old army stuff.
Ween, Kishi Bashi, Bowie, Coil, Bill Evans, pretty good. Enjoys a variety of hobbies, is well-read and although probably somewhat anti-social, also probably quite calm and collected when approached.
If you could you'd have 500 dogs and live somewhere by the woods doing nothing but laying on the grass and playing with puppies
Pretty far off, man, currently wearing a Snoop Dogg sweater haha.
I like your Bowie, Eno, Seu Jorge, AnCo, NMH, Modest Mouse and Tom Waits. Probably quite outgoing and talkative, but people struggle to keep up with you. Probably has a few things in his collection of music or whatever your primary hobbies are that are there for ironic appeal/so-bad-it's-good.
yesterday i considered buying blind joe death on cd then shortly after considered buying clube de esquina on cd
which one am i missing out more on
you seem pretty patrick i bet you're like surprisingly young or something
i haven't been participating obviously but i've taken advantage of a few of the threads for noise recs and links
what's your fave of the month?
Just set up my own Christmas tree and It looks good though the Christmas Lights fuck my eyes up
wow cheer up there nerd
What's your favourite Dead Can Dance album?
We could of been friends but you got lost on the way, I'll wait for you
Wow bitch are you copying me by listening to Thembi?
how was Transa?
Not even close, I bet you weren't even sent from heaven
Kinda close. I'd love to live by a Norwegian forest and I love puppies. I'd have a couple of pugs and I also want a few horses too one day. Animals are pretty damn cool.
Floyd, Bowie, Talking Heads, Mingus, Einsturzende, Carbon Based Lifeforms are all fantastic. I bet you read casually but you're interested in contemplative science fiction no matter on the media its from. Philip K Dick, Harlan Ellison, Stalker, Solaris, Deus Ex, that sorta thing.
Probably really likes Kurosawa films too. If you haven't seen his films, I bet you would really appreciate them. Try out Ikiru, that film is so life-affirming and bittersweet.
In the UK there's a shop called Primark and they sold them a few years ago. I'm surprised that it's official merch too. It was pretty affordable.
Blind Joe Death is very good, especially if you are into guitar noodling/American Primitivsm, but Clube da Esquina is a 10/10 album that everyone should have, so I'd go with that.
Spleen and Ideal I think, but to be fair anything up until Spiritchaser is great.
I don't need cheering up, friendo, I'm feeling pretty good. Moondog, Sun Ra and Mingus are pretty damn good.
People laughed at you in school a fair bit, it hurts a nigga bad, damn… but it's okay because you're an intelligent independent anon who don't need know confirmation from others. Probably bi.
Thanks man, I've been enjoying Whitehouse and Club Moral quite a lot. I dunno if I can pick a definite favourite so far, but my favourite of the past week was Extreme Music From Africa. A really cohesive, well produced and nicely varied album.
Young Jeezy, Death, Coil, Time Machines, Macintosh Plus and Death In June are pretty cool. I bet you're somewhat curious about the occult. Probably visited /x/ quite a bit when you first visited 4chan. Would probably do Urban Exploration if you had a few buddies to do it with.
Knifing sharks is better than shooting them
You're that guy that wears army combat trousers and huge black boots tucked into them
I actually have no idea but i'm sure you're gr8 m8
You smoke from a pipe
You better buck up then before you lose me or more importantly, you lose yourself
I think I order them as this
Spleen And Ideal
Within The Realm Of A Dying Sun
Garden Of The Arcane Delights
The Serpent's Egg
Into the Labyrinth
I still need to listen to Toward the Within
It's bad enough that you're trying to fool me but what's even worse is that you're fooling yourself
no thanks though
I enjoy both. I do need to listen to the Rita more often though.
Rita, Smiths, Hanatarash, Wormrot, DJ Screw and Death Grips are very enjoyable. You probably have silky smooth long hair and you're a beautiful stallion.
It's ok if you don't believe me but honestly I'm quite content and comfortable with who I am. I'm doing what I enjoy doing in life and I know where I want to go too.
It's better to be a king for a night than schmuck for a lifetime, if you know what I'm saying
I've always wondered if Moondog was a wizard
Don't let the bugs bite
>It's better to be a king for a night than schmuck for a lifetime, if you know what I'm saying
doesn't feel the want to communicate very often or at all and thus has few friends, even though you'd like to
subtly dances in public from time to time
father died when you were 16
excited for every new pokemon game
at a stage in life where everything is open for you but you don't actually want any of it
often overwhelmed by short, intense outbursts of emotion
falls head over heels in love rather easiy, still listens to nu metal and feels slightly ashamed about it
more interested in the metaphysical and all sorts of /x/ stuff than the physical
too open minded for your own good
- silver apples
+ stratosphere, beat, wlwh, banana, loveless
~ fear of music
- r+7, spiderland
+ jcf, stratosphere, ruins, man die boat
- bright lights, strangeways, spiderland
Sorta close. I keep myself to myself a lot and only really communicate with people when I feel like I need to. I'm quiet but not really shy. I'm on a filmmaking course and need to communicate with people a lot for our projects, but outside that I'm quite happy just reading a lot.
My circle of friends is pretty small, but I don't see why I'd want anymore. The friends I have are very loyal and we get each other. It's a nice comforting feel.
Ween are damn good, not listening to that Kairon; IRSE yet but I have it downloaded in my backlog for the end of the month, Liturgy is ok. I bet you're quite social and out-going. Probably wish you had more alone time, but you're probably somewhat popular with others quite similar to yourself. Maybe a little quick to strongly dismiss things you dislike or disagree with, but probably also very patient too.
>falls head over heels in love rather easiy, still listens to nu metal and feels slightly ashamed about it
I never really listened to nu-metal at all but you got the first bit 100% correctly. Damnit /mu/ I didnt join this thread to feel
fuck my life i ate potato gratin and burned the roof of my mouth
this has got to be the worst feeling on earth jesus
the best one
Go watch King of Comedy and you will "get" it
I guess this is true
+Ween, Stereolab, Silver Apples, Grails, ZS
Meet The Residents is a good start
You change your taste everytime a friend of yours starts to listen to your music
Ypu wish you were gay
On a side note, this is one of my patricianest charts ever
^strongly recommended to basically everyone btw
your chart is full of rap, dark, feelsy things and metal/loud rock so i figured
you should try some nu metal
no, none of those things
not at all, unless you count being angry at myself
no, but then again i never tried pottery
Triptykon, Rome, Ulver, Warning, Mount Eerie, Neurosis, and Altar Of Plagues, pretty good.
Probably a shy and quiet guy, a small circle of friends. Your personality really comes out online. Probably wishes he had people he knew who were interested in the same music as him and would go to shows with him. Surprisingly, short hair. Plays a lot of video games or watches a lot of arthouse cinema. Introverted, maybe a feelsfag. Probably a cool guy when you get to know him.
name one bad album on my chart
hobbyist writer with great aspirations
has an electronic soundcloud/bandcamp project, but doesn't know a speck of music theory
read a whole lot as a kid, but doesn't find the time to now that he's got internet
do you like sepultura?
do you like japan?
burned mouth blues
No worries, dude, hope you can find people in your area who likes the same music as you sometime. Sometimes it just happens naturally from meeting people at shows. You have good tastes so you'll probably get along with people quite well who are also interested in the same music as you.
Howard Shore, Opeth, Bloodbath, Burzum, Ensiferum, some nice stuff here. Probably a tall guy from Sweden, Norway, or somewhere within Scandinavia. If not, then maybe English. Social online, a bit quieter in person, but not necessarily shy. Pro-gamergate, probably quite relaxed. A cat person.
You seem very down to earth
You're not sure the world is getting better.
Fuck yeah Orchid and Black Eyes. Really nice collage overall.
Do you have a cat?
You've got a lady friend that you like a lot.
