Nice man. I found the intedjekt EP on the vaporwave sub reddit. I think these releases and similar ones like them are doing so much for the genre as far as pushing it away from 'memewave' and just producing great tunes.

>>
>>50940927
It's not. It's horribly forced, despite being based on a few interesting ideas.
Oceangrunge is pretty much the proof that it's not really possible to openly try to create a microgenre from just the aesthetic. Not anymore.

But of course, there will always be these guys to try and force it.
>>
>>50941020
It's like, this concept is very limited to me. It seems that the drone aspect is very much a part of it, making it difficult to differentiate from just straight up drone music, besides the bitcrushing.

The "aesthetics" of vaporwave are very strong, have a lot of room to grow, etc.

This is just too damn edgy.
>>

I really like the "has emerged" as if the people weren't specifically trying to force it.

They erve water that is left to infuse with salt, sand, some plankton and seaweed.

It means you are FREE and it's an EDGY thing to do. You are aiming to shock the listener, and if he cannot take it, then he is just unable to appreciate the beauty of progressive music, and is just living in the past.
Yes, some people are retarded enough to think that way, and pretty much dismiss anything that could be related to a "convention" or "norm" of some kind.
That also leads to people saying that all music instruments are worth the same thing, composition and notation methods are holding their freedom of artistic expression back, etc.
>>
>>50942154
>I personally suggest adjusting your EQ so that the bass is lower and the treble is higher before you listen to this. For some reason there was a mastering error which resulted in a muddy sound; if you adjust it properly the guitars will be much more apparent, and it will sound better all around.
