mornin' lads, here's a selection of the most classic dubstep tunes
m-maybe if you want me to be
/bleep/ is more than music taste, it's a lifestyle.
It will get recorded, apparently they record everything that ever gets broadcast. Not sure how I'd go about getting the reording though. Will try.
He said we have to do the first show live. After that we can pre-record which I think we will do.
To be fair if someone did want to do a jungle show I'm sure they'd get it.
Thanks m8. You should do it man, it's not like you have to talk to anyone, you can do a solo show and just play tunes and say into the mic what each one is called.
Yes. Footwork AOTY is either DJ Earl & Heavee - Audio Fixx 2 or DJ Taye - Overdose on Teklife 2. Possibly also the new DJ Manny or DJ Roc album but I haven't re-listened to those as much.
Slick Shoota - Keep Bussin' is probably my favourite Footwork EPOTY.
>Adventures in machine music built to make subs rattle and feet wiggle; a convoluted mess of elektrology and teknology, 3-step, bass-core, post windmill, proto-minimal wankstep, gondola, shithouse, acid wonk, ambient gabber, no more, no less. Objekt on Last.fm.
listening to this one at the moment, some beautiful tracks so far, apparently it's inspired by the vibe at Battlegroundz
Goddamn why doesn't nodatatv just use fucking mega. These ad-ridden sites are slow as fuck.
New 2562 on what and nodata
Will have to listen later today, I'm excited
no, its one of the genres that everyone universally hates with a passion
closest youll get is coki, distance, and also some assorted tempa stuff like this:
wait a sec is this a trick
not that it matters i'm going anyway if there are qtboys or not
Ah righto. Didn't mind the reggae personally part of the Four Tet charm when he plays a set that you never know what's gonna be dropped. Was very happy at the high percentage of Burial being played.
Boddika at the Hydra on Saturday then. Anyone going?
>D.Carbone - Discernment [Mord 011]
I like Torque more than Wormhole. I think Inside the Machine is as good as Wormhole as well.
I can agree with this.
>mfw get panned
>mfw /mu/ forgets about Objekt forever
>mfw everybody continues with their life like nothing happened
fund this lad on tumblr. hope it's just a bad angle for his sake
Some /bleep/ essentials:
hey QT is a refreshing diversion from the excessively masculine aesthetic of the industrial techno that's played all over the clubs in europe. It's smart because makes fist pumpers uncomfortable with there gender. Also it's a satire of consumerism and shit. If u don't like it you're a repressed faggot americunt that was raised on soy milk and video games. A true englishman will always love hey QT, for it brings forth delightful memories of fingering slags at the bus stop to some Spice Girls songs, so if you don't like it's because u were busy sucking cock at the time. bitch. pussy.
its fine to be qt and its fine to be butters
wots in the inside is wot counts. if youre bleep bredren then youre bleep bredren regadless as to whether youre fat and have a jew fro and a big conk
it's satire fuckboy, satire of the retards who honestly thought defending hey QT by taking a caricaturely masculine posture over the internet was really good shit worthy of being posted on the internet
best to just get technics and a cheap mixer for a beginner? don't mind getting technics cause they don't really drop in price so aint gonna lose money, only problem is the cash tied up in them
nah, was at that nuts mike skinner night in peckham. some of my m8s went and said it was good tho
last time i saw him was in brixton. we managed to blag our way in. we didn't have tickets and the queue look liked it would take at least an hour so we went to the artist's entrance down the road by the side. i knew his real name was kieran so we just kept telling the security that we were "on kierans guest list". they checked it over like 5 times but they obvs couldn't find us. after a while they just asked someone, i think a dj, coming out if he trusted us and he said "yeah, sure" so they let us in. wandered around the back stage for a bit before heading out on the floor. good times
well technics are your safest bet for long-standing quality, but buying 'em new is definetely going to cost 800-1000 depending on where you live
wouldn't really invest a lot of money in a mixer if you're just getting started
Breaking news, Fanu is giving away on his bandcamp for free until "some time tomorrow."
I heavily recommend getting everything.
>tfw I bought my pair of 1200's off a friend in need for £250.
Feel kinda bad but he's all good now and lives in Australia, so fairs fair.
Yeah trying to unless my idiot friends flake on me again, that or going to Bristol for simple things festival to see zomby, kode9, Laurel Halo and scratcha.
go on gumtree
a pair will typically go for around £500 on there, but can be cheaper than that. i bought a pair of 1210s and a xone 22 mixer (basic, but amazing quality) for £600 off gumtree
honestly I used to be able to beatmatch quite well had some decent gigs but recently bit bored with djing and I fucked up all my recent gigs, it's not as easy as it seems I guess
Scott Cortez from loveliescrushing came up with the idea of "blissbeat" in the early 2000s, which was jungle/drum & bass + shoegaze. He released an LP where he'd put shoegaze elements on top of techstep tracks (apparently he was incapable of doing drum & bass on his own) in attempts to make the idea more popular and possibly influence a whole new underground scene (seeing how blissbeat is nonexistant these days, it seems like he failed unfortunately).
