Just a fantastic spacy progressive rock album without all the boring wankery, with influence from shoegaze, triphop, ambient and metal - and fantastic vocals
And another of my favourites, a metal album that focuses more on atmosphere than anything else, and the ethereal vocals and guitar lines just make it so mystifying
Sully - Blue
>electronic, jungle, dnb, experimental, breaks
Cheers, it's my favourite, but never see any discussion on it, or the band at all for that matter. The only connection people usually have is "didn't the chick sing with Devin", when both The Gathering and Anneke's solo stuff is great
>the first reply is a request
I really fucking hate you faggots sometimes.
Grouper - Way Their Crept
>early Grouper effort, quite rudimentary but also very solid. Recommended!
Leviticus - The Burial
>Electronic, Jungle, Atmospheric, Ragga
Duster - Stratosphere
>Slowcore, Shoegaze, Space Rock
My current favourite album, makes me feel like I'm freefalling on one track and suddenly orbiting a moon on another. A maserpiece.
Full Sample: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6aF4idGemkk
Dads - I'll Be Tornado
>2014-core emo a lot darker than the rest of their work
Gorillaz - Gorillaz (320)
>trip hop, brit pop (i guess)
Archive is dead as fuck for this one.
Sea Lion - HEAVY FIZZ (256)
>surf rock, shouty punk, slightly lo-fi
Awesome guitar, male/female vocal back and forth, not unlike Sonic Youth.
quite a lot ;) They're my favourite after all!
Sealion/Doom Ghost - Split (320)
>Garage rock, Surf punk, Lo-fi
Sealion - Heavy Fizz (320)
>Garage rock, Surf punk, Lo-fi
Pattern is Movement - The (Im)possibility of Longing
>Math Rock, Indie pop, Chamber Pop
The Tower Recordings - The Galaxies' Incredible Sensual Transmission Fields of The Tower Recordings
>Psychedelic Folk, Free Folk

Goldie - Timeless
>drum n bass/jungle/electronic classic, essential listening for every music fan
A Guy Called Gerald - Black Secret Technology
>Genre: Jungle, DnB, Electronic
>Label: Juice Box
Did you try:
If not, then fuck off with your request. I haven't listened to the album, but I know that FlyLo is a pretty well known artist and it shouldn't be hard to find his albums if you spend more than 2 second looking.
does anyone have Smoke - Heaven On a Popsicle Stick or Big Star - Third / Sister Lovers? all the links in the archive are down and im running chrome os so i cant torrent or use soulseek
i'll dump some stuff i've already posted a hundred times before but it's been a few months so im sure some people havent seen it
Heems - Nehru Jackets
>the better half of das racist's solo mixtape
>aggressive and noisy beats, with heems getting slightly more serious lyrically but still messing around
>requesting in a sharethread
pls go back to that horrible period a couple of years ago where that was acceptable
>couple of years ago
wasnt it just last year that request threads became super popular
lo-fi and trashy garage punk with surf rock influences. took massive inspiration from Billy Childish and old school garage bands like the Sonics. until the 2000s they were against any format other than vinyl, then they moved onto cd's. get drunk.

Big Blood - Unlikely Mothers
>Avant-Folk, Psychedelic Folk; trippy folk repetitions topped of with vocals from some woman with the voice of an angel who is clearly strung out on acid
Terence Hannum - Via Negativa
>Ambient Drone; newest album by one of the members of Locrian. "organdrone" would be the best way to describe this
All 9 albums
Broken Twin - May
>Chamber Folk; some chick who takes simple string and piano compositions, and casts them into the void of sadness and regret with her beautiful, utterly soul shaking vocals
i barely understand this
>math rock, noise rock, everybody-high-fiving-everybody-core
band that started as a college assignment in 2005 and grew to be one of the best bands of all time before they broke up in 2011 after only 3 albums. the band consisted of Jermey Hyman on drums, Dustin Wong and Ken Seeno both playing guitar, and Willy Siegel doing vocals. their music consists of intense playing coupled with yelps and screaming vocals from Willy. they started out being pretty abrasive and lo-fi and by their last album they had fine-tuned their sound into more of a poppy and sharp sound. great for spring and summer.
Ice Cream Spiritual
Daytrotter Session (live acoustic set of songs from Ice Cream Spiritual)
Do Whatever You Want All the Time
Hala Strana - Fielding
>Psych, Slav Folk, Drone; the music I would imagine a group of travelling Gypsy junkies to make on the side of a road in the slums of Eastern Europe
Songs of Innocence
The Savage Young Taterbug
>lo-fi psych pop, sound collage
“Couldn’t be more excited about this one, first offering from the smoked out styles of Iowa City’s very own Savage Young Taterbug. Teenage road warrior, dead head punk, perma triped wanderer, Taterbug lays down his tape collaged world of free flowing Americana psych bliss. Little bells, dustbowl ballad guitars, stand by me youth cult dreams, and Manson family mind fucks, its all here, even hope for a better tomorrow and a positive spirit for today which can say alot in these droned out wasted times. Let the light inside yr skull”
“Taterbug aka Charles Free is a memoryscaper or maybe he collected these sounds from the dusty webs of old dreamcatchers full of lucid sensations and weird formative moments. This track is full of these, transferred onto new and found brittle cassette reels, with more bluesy childhood feelings, haunted vocals, lush keyboard whistles, and slowly melting soul samples — think a peaced-out Ariel Pink with the celestial moments of James Ferraro. Total dreamer”
Boys of the Feather
Bored Fortress (High Wolf s/)
Theme for Gasoline Weirdo
1994!, Snowing, Boys and Sex, Algernon Cadwallader - Summer Singles split
>fantastic bright and cheery sounding math rock/emo from the most popular names in that whole revival thing that was huge a few years ago
Apparently, that's why he can't use soulseek, either. Which I think is strange, because when I used chrome I was able to torrent and use soulseek just fine.
Maybe try using firefox, instead.
it's not chrome, it's chrome os
>harsh noise, thrash, noisecore
a supergroup of noise and punk artists who combine to create utter terror and sonic destruction. noisy freakouts and blasts of pure anger.
"Utterly grotesque blast furnace extreme freakouts! Provides enough in the way of noise depravity for even the most adventurous lovers of sonic filth."
Find A Way
Ugliest Man / Dog Blood
Punishment Feast - Live Recordings
Hexvessel - Vainolainen
>Psychedelic Folk; Finnfolkers fronted by a soft, soothing voiced Englishman singing of fairy magic and stuff in the woods. absolutely lovely-core
Agreed. bout to share for of him too
oh shit didn't realise, apologies
>actively seeking out u2 albums
>not just waiting for them to turn up on your phone without your permission
Steven R. Smith - The Anchorite
>Drone, Psych Folk; slow paced dronefolk filled to the brim with a longing, mournful vibe that doesn't shy too far away from beauty
U2 - Pop
>90s electronica, alternative rock
>U2 and Bono finally embrace irony, coke, techno, trip-hop, and the public image of their band in 1997 and create a weird-ass techno record
>ambient noise, drone
"Blissed-out noise from Jeff Witscher. Every night you go to bed wishing you won’t wake up. The next day you wake up and regret even opening your eyes. Witscher knows how you feel. This is how you feel."
The Immeasurable Gift
Alameda 3 - Późne królestwo
>Noise Rock, Psych Rock, Space Rock; massive waves of spacey psych riffage; noisey, punkish jams with hollering vocals calling from beneath the distortion, and a few instances of pummelling black metal fury. this album has it all. fronted by the mastermind behind Stara Rzeka
Gold and Silver - Azurite and Malachite
>Psych Rock; jam-tastic riffage brought to you by the guitarist from Elder
Devo - Pioneers Who Got Scalped (The Anthology)
>synth pop, new wave, post punk, avant-garde punk
an anthology that was released in 2000 and is composed of 50 tracks from all over their discography up to that point. good for people who may want to get into Devo and also hardcore fans as it contains a mix of their most popular tracks as well as some obscure b-sides and covers. notable tracks include: Be Stiff (Stiff Version), Working in the Coalmine, Worried Man, Head Like a Hole, and the Words Get Stuck in My Throat - which was recorded specifically for this release
Stara Rzeka - Stara Rzeka
>Folk, Post-Rock; lovely little follow up to last years Cień chmury nad ukrytym polem. heartfelt folk laced with electronic fuzz that slowly evolves into a droning electrobient procession of sheer beauty and wonder
Sun Araw - Belomancie
A series of corridors that lead to specific chambers. An active listening experience. A transportation system. Interference is physicality. Give Belomancie your full attention and listen at the hightest volume possible. When faced squarely, each chamber produces a particular physical effect capable of causing a simple thing: an experience of discontinuity. Hot Jobs!
i told you in /bleep/ retard those aren't 'SNES' sounds they are full 32-bit detuned squares YOU FUCKING DRIBLLING MORON I HATE THIS FORUM IT SOUNDS LIKE NOTHING THE SNES WAS EVEN CAPABLE OF PRODUCING
LISTEN TO SOME GRIME IF YOU LIKE THOSE
Bonobo - Ghost Ship
A collection of remixes of Bonobo tracks put out when Ninja Tune was promoting their XX anniversary boxed set. Limited time web only release. As far as I know, most of this stuff was only released on this set. Please excuse the varying bitrates, that's how it was released.
The remix of Recurring is absolutely outstanding.
More Rockers - Dub Plate Selection Vol.1 (v0)
>1995, Bristol drum & bass, Smith & Mighty with pre-Reprazent Roni Size and Krust
Jungle Tekno 5 (v0)

Live album with Merzbow, Sonic Youth, and Mats Gustaffson
>The Singing Saw At Christmas Time
Julian Koster's only solo release, a compilation of holiday tunes played on the singing saw.
One of Airospaces' albums that's not on his bandcamp. I actually hit him up asking why he was deleting a ton of music. He said if people really wanted his early work, they would have it already (or something like that)
Flying Lotus - Pattern+Grid World
>collection of tracks that didn't make it onto Cosmogramma
Wasn't in the archive so I'll share it, you should mention if you searched before hand (and probably not post in a share thread unless it's marked for requests too).
Sza - Z
>heartfelt, catchy shit featuring neat people like Chance the Rapper and Kendrick Lamar, shifts greatly in pace
want ur favourite bae
Pinkcourtesyphone - Foley Folly Folio
>ambient, Pinkcourtesyphone is Richard Chartier
>Pinkcourtesyphone desires to capture the sonic essence of some nicely dressed 1960's housewife wistfully peering out her window while reclining on some lovely couch or divan, with, of course, a slowly sipped cocktail and perhaps half of a Valium. Perhaps she is waiting for the phone to ring.
If You're An Angel, You Will Suffocate on Earth - What Can Be
>alternative rock, pop music made by a NEET, pitch shifted vocals, vocaloid
Can anyone recommend me more depressing shit like this? Emo will do as well
Suffocate For Fuck Sake - Blazing Fires And Helicopters On The Frontpage Of The Newspaper. There's A War Going On And I'm Marching In Heavy Boots

(SUBBASE 35) The Noise Of Art - Rollin' Deep... In The Realm Of The Purple Diamond
The Joshua Tree is probably their biggest album and many people's favorite. Achtung Baby is a lot more Alternative Rock-oriented but it's their other big album. War is before The Joshua Tree and the post-rock sound is a lot more prominent. The only other two albums by them I listen to are The Unforgettable Fire which is somewhere in between The Joshua Tree and War, and Zooropa which is really odd compared to the rest of their discography but has some cool experimental-ish stuff they never really tried again.

Yea, a lot of those came from when I was just learning how to write. The 7th track shouldn't have really even been on there, it was just me fucking around.
Which did you like most?
I'll trim it down and up it on bandcamp.

Various Artists - Music From Saharan Cellphones [V0]
>Music from Saharan cellphones is a compilation of music collected from memory cards of cellular phones in the Saharan desert.
>In much of West Africa, cellphones are are used as all purpose multimedia devices. In lieu of personal computers and high speed internet, the knockoff cellphones house portable music collections, playback songs on tinny built in speakers, and swap files in a very literal peer to peer Bluetooth wireless transfer.
>The songs chosen for the compilation were some of the highlights -- music that is immensely popular on the unofficial mp3/cellphone network from Abidjan to Bamako to Algiers, but have limited or no commercial release. They're also songs that tend towards this new world of self production -- Fruity Loops, home studios, synthesizers, and Autotune.
>In 2010, various versions of saharan cellphone music were released on cassette. Many of the songs were unlabeled, giving no insight to their mysterious origins. In the past year, the artists have been tracked down to collaborate on a commercial release. As such, 60% of the proceeds go directly to the artists.
Adrian Rew - Slot Machine Music [V0]
