I need some math jazzgaze with random fugues at some points.
Some people call Current 93 exactly that. It came from a confusion about a quote, but it describes the music rather well.
Some people use that term to describe Bohren & der Club of Gore, The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble / The Mount Fuji Doomjazz Corporation, Dale Cooper Quartet & The Dictaphones, etc. It's jazz + dark ambient though, not doom metal + jazz.
What do you mean?
Diablo Swing Orchestra
Catherine Ribeiro + 2 Bis
Seven Idiots by WEG, maybe?
Parliament - Mothership Connection
>says the guy who has Program Music I as his favorite.
Those two albums are at the same level. Give me a good reason why one or another should be considered better or worse than the other.
>way too bright and shiny
But that's a good thing
>It's so sickeningly sweet
Oh, yes :F
Only one third of the album is like that though.
The concept is the least important part, the good thing about SI is that its like a riff salad album, where you have a new riff/melody playing each 10 seconds.

I'd rather listen to something like Torture Garden for that.
>It's too energetic
Those are good things
>not any fun
You are just weak.
There's even worse (or better) stuff to what you are describing, like The Stick Men!
Extra energetic! Extra bright! Extra fun! And even more exhausting!
check out Jim O'Rourke - Bad Timing
Natural Snow Buildings always struck me as comfy as hell (aside maybe from all those noisy drone releases they made in 2008) rather than doomy. Current 93 is right on the money though.
>Quoted the wrong person but thanks for answering mine
Fuck, that always happens to me.
There are probably a lot more, but haven't heard them. Just go to their last.fm page and look for "similar artists".

>Disregard That Rubbish, It's The Fuck Guns
>Standard Juice House
Every fucking time.
