lets keep this one going well into the night
i know you're not out tonight
i sees ya
What are the essential Surgeon releases?
I listened to his latest album and it wasn't great.
step aside ghettoville, 2014 just got a new AOTY
New old-school jungle vibes.
Anyone else digging in on this one?
the new Lee Gamble album
>if you're into Actress, head straight to this and the rest of his shit
some albums over the 70 min mark are split in two CDs
obviously yeah, CDs can hold up to about 80 minutes worth, but it's usually for artistic reasons
same thing with the FLips' Embryonic
Ahh. Alrighty. I'll go ahead and assume Vessel counts then?
And also yes, PAN can do no wrong. That Valerio Tricoli album from earlier this year hnnng.
This was pretty good, I thought.
this is 2good
Was very disappointed with this, although it kinda picked up towards the last couple tracks
Anneka managed to save it, almost
god damn, didn't know Lee was such a g
Another good release. Has a FSOL - Dead Cities vibe.
>Never listened to Lee Gamble before, is Koch a good place to start?
hard to say, his stuff feels the consistent every time, but has noticeable differences
check this album first
this track is phenomenal too
Aight, I'll check that out first. I've got so much shit to listen to tonight lol.
I saw a copy of K on vinyl in my local record store. Did I make a mistake for not picking it up? I loved Voices From The Lake, but still need to listen to his other stuff.
>tfw Luke Abbott playing my hometown
fucking yes then, what did yall think of Wysing Forest?
it wasn't amazing, but I dug the shit out of it
this looks very similar to my itunes recently added list, guess you raid the shit out of nodata every night too huh
though System Fork was shit tbh
/F, Gamble, SD Laika, Dozzy, Vessel, Voigt, Drumm and Khotin were all solid listens imo
yet to hear Lussuria and Scuba Death
>tfw no Wolfgang Voigt x Donato Dozzy collab
honestly it's a match made in heaven
I mainly picked up System Fork cause it got a 4 from RA and I liked the cover, but I literally no nothing about them otherwise lol.
And yes, Voigt x Dozzy would make an insane collab.
>I mainly picked up System Fork cause it got a 4 from RA
I did the same, against my better judgement too, as RA is basically the p4k of /bleep/
>that 2.5 for ghettoville
Totally. When P4K and RA say an album it's good, it's probably good, but when they say an album is mediocre or bad, usually I will look further than that. Gobby's new album is an example of that for me. Loved the shit out of that thing.
>god damn, didn't know Lee was such a g
Lee's a proper naughty moody geezer
Off topic, but what headphones do you guys use for your bleeps? I've got a pair of ATH-M50's, but I swear I fucked up one of the sides, so I might be in the market for new ones soon. Any suggestions in the $150 range?
save $50 more and get the HD-25s, they're very good
>How do they compare sizewise to the M50's?
the HD-25 are smaller, and they aren't very comfy
I have yet to regret getting anything /bleep/ related. I'll just come back to it in a week or so and try to ignore friends telling me how great it is in the meantime.
>>49207525 here. Just finished DVP, and I liked parts of it on my first listen, but yeah I'm definitely going to need to revisit it again. I kinda want to move on to Koch though since its 2014 and its still really relevant.
>I kinda want to move on to Koch though since its 2014 and its still really relevant
it doesn't get released til september 8th i think
check out his Kuang EP he dropped this month in the meantime
get these, the NVX Audio XPT100 headphones, they're cushions with speakers, and they're are at $99.99 on Amazon
nigga is old as time
>NVX Audio XPT100
Do they sound as good as the M50's?
I keep using the M50's cause they are pretty much the first pair studio monitors I got. If they sound as good I'll check into those perhaps.
Right now my on the go headphones are Portapros. Comfy, but not the best for like full time music listening.
