i'm >>49194511 and holy shit dazai and camus were like next on my list. seeing dazai is especially surprising. also 10/10 taste. have you read Nausea?
the stranger
the collected poems of sylvia plath
the crying of lot 49
july's people
the goat, or who is sylvia

the dekalog
dog star man
the act of killing

pet sounds
the united states of america
people don't think those books are bad because of their popularity, kiddo
You sound like an easy going sorta guy.
Awesome taste, a couple of your choices were almost on my lists too, especially for Kundera.
I've not read Nausea yet, but I've got a copy so it's something I plan on reading soon.
>the dekalog
I consider it a film
you're supposed to see it as a whole mate
and it's really not like House of Leaves is saving his list either
a film in ten different vignettes at least

>I can't be bothered to think of more than three books/films I enjoy
Come on. Get it together and play by the rules.

Despite your best attempts to appear patrician, you seem to have forgotten that these are all complete shit

Why would your name be Alain Resnais if you didn't even have any of his films in your top 5
you should read books
definitely read it. sartre's a little denser than camus, but it gets its head around existentialism better than any other book.
i will consider it
Léon is a pretty good movie, mate, I watched it a lot of times when I was around 15 and still enjoy it to this day
not your daily intellectual movie conoisseur's fap material, but an enjoyable time for sure
I'm not trying anything though, least of all appearing "patrician" to folks online.

Pynchon - V.
Pynchon - Gravity's Rainbow
Gaddis - The Recognitions
Wallace - Brief Interviews with Hideous Men
Barth - Giles Goat-Boy

Kaufman - Synecdoche, New York
Jonze - Adaptation.
Lynch - Mulholland Drive
Coen & Coen - Burn After Reading
Scorsese - Taxi Driver

Talking Heads - Remain in Light
The Microphones - Mount Eerie
Portishead - Third
Kool A.D. - Electric Kool A.D. Acid Test
nothing comes to mind for the last one

we would get along very well, I think. you should read some stuff, you might like it
we probably wouldn't dislike each other or anything but would have a hard time connecting
Last Year at Marienbad
This movie and Teshigahara's A Woman at The Dunes(Tarkovsky's favourite film along with Persona) are the most patrician movies to ever exist
Oh I like Synecdoche too. Very clunky and hard to swallow, but it's really great movie. It would be better if Jonze was directed it, tho.
sure champ

I don't read many books tbh. I just needed to fill the gap.
I actually read it really recently. I was working a lot at the time and I'm not a super fast reader so it took me about 5-6 weeks or so. Didn't find it to be anything special for the first 300 pages or so but it was one of my favourites by the end.

Yeah it's just the problem was with writers like Kafka, Poe, and Lovecraft they mostly wrote short stories so the books I have of them are just their complete works and that's not really a specific book so I just gave authors.
I doubt anyone's really that interested. But if someone was for whatever reason I could give specifics.

would want to hang with but would probs be intimidated by
Nice music taste, some good films but Cuckoo's Nest is much better as the book
Pretty standard, but nothing overtly offensive, i feel you definitely want to "get into" more obscure music, films, and books.
Not into/heard of everything in this list but you are sure of what you enjoy / appreciate and have gone out of your way to find it which is good
Again, pretty standard but not that offensive, i'm not into everything you list but it's still good
Pretty cool guy. Obviously with film not that experienced but can tell when it's good despite that
Pretty standard, slightly pleb, but with more research into books, films and music you will find stuff you like, you have a sense of wanting to explore more
Pretty bad stuff in there, could develop a better taste with more exploration however

Now it's my turn to get called shit on, might not be top 5 but trying to get the range of what I like in there
Jung Chang - Wild Swans
Ng?g? wa Thiong'o - Wizard Of The Crow
Ian McKellen - The Cement Garden
