Fuck a Kalafina, Kajiura is overrated as shit. Everything sounds the same, even if she slathers some dramatic female vocals on top.
>>49106486
This soundtrack kills me. When I first found it I was living as a hikikomori for nearly 2 years and had severe depression. But the bright point of my day was watching an episode a day, which is mainly what inspired me to get better and eventually get out of it. Now whenever I hear it (especially >>49106634) it instantly brings all those feelings back with a weird sense of nostalgia.
>>49107810
contain your butthurt
KnK is the best OST she ever did
>>49107646
muh nigga
Ghost in the Shell, the movie

wish the show had less obvious filler because it would definitely be a 10/10 series

I've always liked DRRR's soundtrack a lot, it has such an organic feel to it, and really sounds like it was made by an experienced composer and musician.

woah holy shit
I always wanted to ask but didn't know whether it belonged here or on /a/. Are anime soundtracks vaporwave? Is anime itself vaporwave? If so, what's the most vaporwave anime soundtrack, or anime?
>>49106865
Too bad the anime sucks so much (at least the first season). The soundtrack is very good but deserves something better.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9KH-kpFKFU0 i won't let anyone forget about this hellsing ost, top 10 anime intros, the whole soundtrack sounds like this
>>49107883
Well I generally dont like anime, but this was awesome, not generic at all, interesting characters, great visual effects and storyline. First and only anime to make me cry.
Studio Ghibli Songs

You better not try to make that claim on /a/ ever
>>49108297
I couldnt give less of a shit what they think.
>>49108252
i agree, this is how i would fix it.
condense the first season into 7 episodes
condense the second season into 14 episodes
remove fuko entirely
give akio more screen time
let nagisa & ushio die, no time travel shit, let everyone feel the pain and don't pussy out at the end
seriously underrated series with a fantastic soundtrack.
>>49107810
i don't like kajiura anymore but her music still makes me feel like a growing up emotional and misunderstood anime faggot https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9O3-ohtxxsw
>>49108363
I agree with everything except ushio. The anime should end after Tomoya makes up with his father and wants to become a better father himself. It's the perfect ending.
do you guys know any anime that used a western song as an opening or ending? i only remember that paradise kiss used do you want to by franz ferdinand
>>49108456
here's the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NgMAKuJIkmc
>>49108252
After getting the 8 orbs (still on After Story) in the VN, I can feel safe by saying that's quite untrue.
Yeah, it certainly does skip a lot of story from the game, but I think the production was focused on blending all of the routes together so you would find a deeper relationship between characters. And it was done nicely, from my point of view.
>>49108326
>pretentious cunt
sorry, that just popped in.
>>49108363
Well, he was talking only about the first season, so...

i thought the pacing was pretty shitty in both seasons, definitely a lot of filler in both, however the 2nd season was much better in that respect
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kWkqO1WKhWo
>>49107969
I like it. I'll watch the anime for this and later download the ost.

>>49108545
yes.
>>49108586
wow, lovely stuff
>>49108275
It's a shame the original anime was shit. The OVA was a fun gorefest tho.
I'm throwing in the RaXephon OST: Aka Eva's polar opposite thematically: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qCDoifoKkLA
My favourite Evangelion BGM: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=92quZTc_NGw
Kind of wish there was an extended version of this, like 7 minutes long or something.
The main problem of clannad isn't the filler, it's the one dimensional female characters. Stuff like this works in comedy and slice of life, because these shows don't take themselves seriously, but as soon as you mix melodrama with characters that are defined by nothing more than a single character trait, you end up with a disaster.
Key's writing isn't that good to begin with but with characters that actually have some depth, it could at least end up pretty good.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nl4zXuMeT6g maybe not the whole soundtrack, but the opening theme is something that stays forever
>>49108678
The movie is a pretentious, symbol filled wankfest, but the soundtrack is really fucking majestic

>>49108456
Eden of the east used 'Falling down' from Oasis's Dig out your soul.

Absolutely disgusting.
>>49108826
To be honest, I am not sure if my love for this show is blinded by nostalgia because it was one of the first animes I explored into outside of the shit mainstream ones when I was a kid.
Was it the lack of much going on that you hated?
>>49108763
great show, the ending theme is so comfy, lol
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ziU36CDT1wU
>>49108769
It's fantastic actually. Oshii's finest work.
I really like Ghost In the Shell: ARISE's OST. Cornelius has quickly become one of my favorite producers.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9lzu5ST8CnM
>>49108895
IDK I found the show to try to hard at trying to make you feel stuff at times.
>>49108960
yep, when you have to kill a defenceless animal to humanise a character you know you're a bad writer
i'm just a sucker for gore and nudity tbh
>>49109013
I'm like that sometimes as well. It's why I love the Hellsing OVA...
...And Serice is my waifu.
>>49108892
probably, but i'm not sure, i watched it a long time ago. it's possible that i was disappointed with the fact it had a completely different storyline and had little to do with the manga version (which was first and is really good)
>>49106634
Are there any other bands that capture the pure aimlessness and loneliness that this song has?

>>49109841
Visuals, music, atmosphere and direction. Some of the best stuff in the genre. I didn't care that much for the plot, but it's not bad and that's all that matters if the rest is amazing.

When I watched NHK I was living in another country with my family. I had no job, no friends and was depressed and cooped up in my room all day. The only thing I'd do was walk down by the beautiful seaside. Now that whole thing seems like a dream and another life. When I hear this music it gives me a feeling that's indescribable. It's the sound of true loneliness.
Probably a tie between this and Cowboy Bebop. Or Trigun's Soundtrack.
>>49108252

It's one of my absolute favorite anime, and I think >>49110045 described my feeling somewhat aptly.
The atmosphere is just strong, and some parts just feel so unsettling. "Interpretation" I feel is also down completely to the given viewer with this movie if that makes sense.
