I just can't get into The Ascension, it might be to do with me always listening to it through my headphones. It just sounds really oppressive and is kind of uncomfortable to listen to in that way.

Rosa Yemen and Press Color are no wave. I don't think her later stuff is.

I definitely wouldn't call either of those albums new wave, Press Color def has elements of post-punk and funk though.

I found Contortions Buy in the back of my local Oxfam. I freaked out.

I've been to Glenn Branca concert lately.
He seemed so cool and relaxed while being alone on stage. He made jokes and told stories about songs.
He played 3 pieces. Two acoustic and one long piece on electric guitar (the famous).
The acoustic pieces were really great, but electric one was really really hard to listen to.
I don't mean the concert was bad. It was really stunning and memorable. I still don't know how this guitar of his works, but it was crazy.

Later that evening his wife played on the same stage, but I was really tired and couldn't stand the noises from her electric guitar.

It was a great day, I also had a chance to see Slowdive and it was absolutely breathtaking.
