The last sharethread didn't even last five minutes, so let's try this again.
Jneiro Jarel - Fauna
>Experimental instrumental hip-hop with a "Brazillian theme," Jneiro's fifth studio album released under his own name. He also makes music as Dr. Who Dat, and works in groups Shape of Broad Minds and Willie Isz, and even collaborated with MF to make JJDOOM.
>First starting hearing tracks fron Jneiro on old Adult Swim bumps, so I guess this guy constitutes as "adult swim core." Worth a listen for people that like experimental beats.
Balmorhea - Constellations
>Six piece minimalist ensemble set, post-rock with classical influences. Really chill. Second track on this LP was used as the theme for a show on Suntime, Rectify.
WESTERN SONS - EP1 @ v0
>electronic, post-dubstep, ambient, chillwavey lo-fi night time kinda stuff
I do sharethreads often dude.
You need to prepare them carefully. 10 albums or more.
Don't just post 2 or 3 albums and expect others to do start sharing. It doesn't work like that.
Blu and Exile - Below the Heavens
>Underground West Coast hip-hop, influenced by groups like Jurassic 5 and Pharcyde

Pls halp , /mu/.
The Crane Wives - The Fool In Her Wedding Gown
>americana, folk rock, some of the lyrics are cheesy but the rhythm is good and the banjo fills out the song without overpowering it.
their band name reminded me of that Decemberists' album and it turns out thats where they got their name from lol
>tfw you grew up with the Decemberists so they have a soft spot in your heart
also its a p good song i like this
>their band name reminded me of that Decemberists' album and it turns out thats where they got their name from lol
well obviously. you think they got it independently and just coincidentally sound like them.
This seems like a somewhat appropriate place to ask this..do you guys know if colleges can check/even care if students use direct download sites like mediafire, mega, etc.? I get that they'd notice massive amounts of bandwidth being used from one user but would the occasional download be that risky? the school I'm going to has an explicit "no torrents" rule so I'm not sure if they just check the networks for torrent use or search more in detail for any illegal downloading. it's a smaller school (~3,000) so I feel like it would be easier for them to find someone stealing than in a larger state school. I'm just asking this because I really like sharethreads here.
Also, here's an album I bought the other day:
jizue - Shiori (2014)
>math-jazz with a bit of electronic mixed in
Sorry, nein on that.
My uni explicitly states that they can detect any form of P2P sharing and a few of my friends have been cut off their internet for a week after torrenting, but regular direct downloading should be fine. I've been doing this for two years now. Of course, it depends on the school - ask your seniors?
By the way, if it's you who bought and uploaded it during that one thread, thanks. I've been listening to Photograph over and over and over again.
I don't know about now, I downloaded a lot 2008-2012 at a school with ~15,000, never got letters or whatever for it, and never heard of anybody who did. I even used torrents a bit. Generally, IT is run by students who wouldn't rat you out, and the school will (generally) protect its students. If you're that worried, go to a coffeeplace or something.
Torrenting must be much easier to detect. I'll have to ask around to see what the deal is -- thanks for the help. And I'm glad you enjoy the album! I've been listening to it a lot as well
That's good to know that the school is somewhat on the student's side. I'm sure it's mostly just scare tactics so students don't get the school in trouble with the RIAA
Bastard Noise / Chaos As Shelter / Igor Krutogolov - The Geometry Of Soul (2003)
>noise, industrial, experimental, face melting, holy shit the ride never ends
Anyone have Ian William Craig's album, "A Turn of Breath"?
Sucra - Sucra
>Post rock, prog rock
>hints of jazz, ambient, psych, doom and noodly emo
Antenne – #1
Very nice trip hop album.
Rain Drinkers – Wood Violet
Mystical ambient folk. Could have been released on Constellation Records, somewhat similar to early Popol Vuh too.
Nick Storring – Rife
Electroacoustic, ambient, glitch, musique concrète.
Description, sample and reviews here: http://www.entracte.co.uk/project/nick-storring-e121/
16-17 – Gyatso
Noise jazz. Brutal stuff.
rotor plus – Aileron
Electroacoustic music with elements of ambient, field recordings, IDM (one or two Boards of Canada references) and piano melodies. What makes it great is that it's not just vaguely melancholic or abstract like many albums in the same genre, but very evocative. It feels like browsing through faded photographs, diary scraps, the notes and letters from an unknown traveller. Beautiful and haunting.
There are three albums, which form a trilogy; volume 1 (Aileron) seems to be about discovery, volume 2 (Map Key Window) about exploring memories, volume 3 (Dust) about oblivion and loss.
Billy Bogus – Night Movie
House / nu-disco.
Secretions - 1988 (compilation)
Can somebody tell me if this is on What, or not?
Marcellis – [Workshop 16]

Yes they look at p2p traffic. The only thing they can do for filehosts is block the address. People use (free) filehosts for all kinds of reasons so they shouldn't be blocked in the first place.

Lars H.U.G. - Kysser Himlen Farvel
>Danish 80's rock from one of the biggest figures in Danish pop music history, it's really 80's and kind of cheesy in hindsight but with really interesting vocals and delicious synths here and there
Kliché - De Samlede Klichéer
>Lars H.U.G.'s previous band and one of the best and most important bands to have graced the Danish music scene, these guys had a unique sound that could probably best be described as the Danish the Talking Heads. Almost industrial on their first album, Supertanker, they make a clear transition to a more futuristic sound and appearance on their second album, Okay Okay Boys.
Pictureplane-The Alien Body Mixtape
Anyone have The Boats - Songs by the Sea, would be greatly appreciated

Include file key
Supersilent - 1-3

holy shit bro tx, i'be been searching a working link for weeks!
Their MaxNormalTV stuff is even better
Foliage does viral his own stuff. He was posting his album in AOTY threads back when he literally didn't have any listeners. People in the thread (myself included) assumed he was a troll posting a non-existent album that didn't exist, because the album cover wouldn't even come up in google, and the album art was just some shitty cropped picture from tumblr.
The only reason Foliage recieves any attention is because that faggot samefags and viral's it without any shame.
Lou Christie - Paint America Love (1971)
>70s pop, bubblegum
Just realized my favorite Screaming Females album wasn't on the archive
Screaming Females - Baby Teeth
Screaming Females - Singles
Dunno, maybe. She (The singer) is always drawing weird creatures though, so it may just be a coincidence

>Laura Stevenson and the Cans - A Record
>Lo-fi folk/rock, personal favorite of mine
