Were the 90s the last great decade for music?
>>74499729
90s were awful desu senpai
>>74499760
How so?
No. Every generation thinks that their childhood decade was the "last great" decade for music. The way you feel right now is the same way that future people will feel about 2010.
I think the 70's had a much wider variety on it's top charts than anything after. Music styles have become more narrow and narrow in terms of song styles afterwards, with most songs in specific genre's following similar formats and formula's. It became harder and harder to tell artists from each other unless you knew the style, especially after 98.
Anybody know some punk bands with a nice slow and heavy sound like Stickmen With Rayguns, Flipper, No Trend, and Drunks With Guns?

ITT: best concept album you ever listened to that actually worked as a concept album (example, Rain Dogs is my favorite album, but Red Headed Stranger works as a cohesive story)

Spiderland (1991) was even more abstract. Its harmonic zigzags through irregular tempos, fractured melodies and discordant counterpoint were as disorienting as notes scribbled in an unknown language. Vapid moribund passages were inundated by sudden tidal waves of sound, or, better, given the glacial tone of the band's jamming, arctic quiet was shaken by icebergs cracking in the ocean. The whole album flew in a dis-organic manner, but still retained an odd sense of unity. It sounded like the stream of consciousness of a mathematician's brain as it was solving a difficult theorem.
Was David Bowie God?
