Do you Britanons give the satyrs British accents in your heads? Same for Ausanons and other anons with accents other than American? I'm not saying it bad or that you shouldn't do it, just wondering if you guys stick with your native accents in your heads or if you go with their parents' accents from the show. Just curious.

For that matter, what voices do you guys give the satyrs in your head when they have dialogue in green? Is it the voice of a different character from a different show? If so, please share a vid of that character and the satyr you assign their voice to.

Not a britanon, but personally I've never really thought about voices for Anon or the satyrs.

Now that I think of it, in most cases I'd probably just go with something similar to their parents. Southern accent for most of the Apple satyrs. Maybe a bit of a spanish accent for Darcy that she got from listening to her mom talking in spanish all the time.

It's probably because of the purple in the cape for the Rebirth design. Such a good design for the costume. I'm going to guess it may also be that Rory is sometimes portrayed as self conscious or maybe have an inferiority complex and Batman has a few problems and may sometimes be portrayed as a bit of a downer. Now has Utah and Prism to help him out with that.

I think I might have posted this in the past, but I typically give Yuzu the voice of Mayuka from Tenchi: Daughter of Darkness when I read or write her dialogue.

As I'm sure you guys are aware, I LOVE the Tenchi series and Yuzu's design was based on Yuzuha (my favorite character in the film), but since Yuzu is the daughter of Anon, and Mayuka is the daughter of the protagonist, Tenchi, I mentally associated Yuzu's voice with Mayuka's.

Plus, I think it's incredibly adorable the way her VA says "daddy".

Don't associate the video's content with Yuzu's personality. Unless you're into incestuous Lewdzu, then by all means, fantasize away.

As for other satyrs, I have to agree with >>30788510 in that, when reading satyr dialogue, I typically imagine generic voices. In fact, when I read or write "innocent, child Yuzu", she has a different, much younger voice.

Cottonball has a high pitched, bubbly voice, with a distinct lower class Canterlot accent, muddied somewhat by living where she does now.
Lenora has a fairly average pitch, with a bit of Cottonball's manner of speaking rubbed off on her.
And Firginia's tone is a bit on the higher side, but she speaks noticeably faster than the rest of the family.

I've seen Yuzu be upset in several stories because somebody called her wings creepy, but I've never seen them portrayed like that in any art, so how about a picture of her with large, anatomically correct wings in which you can see her blood vessels through the wing membrane. EXACTLY. That's why I like her character so much. She was just misunderstood. It wasn't her fault she was the embodiment of the tree of darkness. She was just lonely and wanted to make friends. When no one accepted her because of her appearance, she just played the role of monster they assigned her. When she found a boy who accepted her, she changed her ways and wanted to be good, but even that wasn't good enough. Her heart was broken and she cast back into loneliness. Quite frankly, I don't blame her for being evil, because it's what the world made her, it wasn't what was in her heart.

It's a shame the protagonists don't know this until they strike the killing blow. It's just sad, fucked up, and it pissed me off.

I think she is one of the most well written villains I have ever seen in an anime, which is why she holds a special place in my character influences.

So I bought a Nintendo Switch and I've discovered Breath of the Wild, which should translate as, "I'm busy with other shit and may not get to drawing anything until I either pass the game, or get really far into it to take a break from."

Regardless, I have written down previous requests and will review them when I get a chance\want to draw in the future.

I hate Spring and Summer, yet I love Fall and especially Winter, so during an upcoming overnight (graveyard) shift I should start drawing something soon.

Don't take this the wrong way, it's just my opinion, but I sort of think that having her eyes change colour would make her a little special snowflakey. Like all those OCs drawn by twelve year olds with heterochromia because "the demon in their soul is peering out through one of their eyes," or some equally edgy reason.

I suppose it is normal in a way though. Bear with me, but in a thread that has a lot to do about parental feels it's probably natural to want to see only the best in our creations. Having said that, I do enjoy trying to come up with believable flaws for various satyrs. Things that don't seem out of place and you could actually imagine being a part of their personality.

For Yuzu, since she's used to being treated as the centre of the her dad's universe, I can imagine her not quite knowing how to react when her needs and wants aren't treated by everybody as being paramount. A little bit of a reality shock, so to speak.

It's been a while, buy I remember a story where a 7-9 year old Murmur gave a threatening speech to Yuzu. This turned out to be a dream, but Yuzu woke up thinking it was fact and called Murmur out on it. Wasn't my intention at all. Just a minor, unimportant detail on a one-off picture idea. I was drawing her at various ages and the thought of coloring it popped in my head and I decided to throw in that little true-to-life detail since she's half human after all.

On the subject of her being hated for being flawless, I suppose it's my fault for not owning her completely. I've stated several times in the past that I'm here to draw for you guys. I came here to create satyrs or give those who don't have any art a picture or two (such as Mistake, created by Lunaguy), so I'm at fault for not fully fleshing out her character. Like other satyrs, I made her and handed her over to the thread to write stories and feels about. Yes, I had headcanons about her, which I shared, but ultimately I relied on you guys to establish her character.

I have been drawing and making characters for several years and one thing I came to understand is that a flawless character is boring and uninteresting. Honestly, my headcanon has Yuzu being very clingy. As she grows up, her father tries to encourage her to become more independent, but she'd been sheltered and pampered her whole life. This puts strain on her relationship with her father, who feels guilty for making her this way. Ultimately, her father has to basically kick her out, leaving both parties heartbroken. But that's just my headcanon, which, at the risk of sounding strange, I don't accept.

The thing is, I don't write Yuzu because I don't see her as MY character. She's a character I made for one fandom inspired by another animated series. Mentally, I can't bring myself to put any effort into doing anything with her characterization because I'm not going to use her in a story

I'd love to see some Mistake and Yuzu adventures in an apartment. Id imagine Mistake would work at a pizza place, and would often reek of cheese and sauce coming home. Where as Yuzu would get a job waiting tables. And would hate every second of it as she'd have to deal with the occasional drunk perv asking her about if she wants a large TIP. Or something. Also night shift. So plenty of drunks.

But the days off when they chill would be worth the week long grind.
