A guy having several girls likely isn't a big deal, but only if he herds up. Ones who have far more lovers than herd members are likely seen as unreliable.
But loose girls are likewise also likely seen as disloyal, and bad mates as well.

I'm on and off writing a goofy oneshot right now that's similar in style, but I think that's mostly just because old habits die hard. If you're referring to the more drama or feelsy centric variants, I might do that someday too. I'm burnt out on writing FR, but I was never happy with the way Mute Anon turned out, and some days I think about redoing the whole thing with what I've learned since then, updated canon, etc. A consequence of having written it is that I no longer write anything without a stupid amount of meticulous planning, and that means I may never get around to such an undertaking. I have other RGRE things I want to write first, and I'll probably have jumped into a propeller by the time I've written all of them. So no promises.
