Got both off of etsy, Trixie from etsy.com/shop/CraftLana and Lyra from etsy.com/shop/Egalgay. Pretty impressed with the quality of the Lyra plushie so far. She's pretty ideal in the terms of firmness for cuddles imho.

That Twiggles seems pretty decent for 14 bucks all things considered, haven't gotten any chink plushies myself though

I may not have the skill to sculpt full figures but I have smoothed out the lump on the forehead of the pegasus to remove the bump where the horn was since the original artist didn't do the best job and seems to have just cut it off.

Yep! This Flutterbat is a one of a kind plushie by two of my favorite artists! Her head and body were started by MLW, and the rest including ears, wings, mane, and tail were finished up by Qtpony. A reasonable amount, actually, but a lot of my friends know about it, so for identity reasons I can't disclose the specifics. That said, I do have:

How would you send off an old, dirty lifesize? With all the owners here,

Just basic, pine bookshelves with luan backing, stained and finished. No doors, varying height. I have the first one I made in my room.

They're square, they're sturdy, and they can hold a shitton of weight, but they are by no means professional pieces. The shelves are jointed and screwed in, with the screw holes plugged. Sometimes I have access to a router to make a nice top piece. Would it look out of place in a family room or office? No. In a expensive place? Very.

To me, I've become very emotionally attached to my LS, and the idea of >>30747928 would at least let you keep a part of them that takes up very little space (and once unstuffed, if it's minky and they don't have any fabric paint or bad applique, you could be able to machine wash them).

Anyway, tossing a LS or really any custom plush feels so very wrong to me, which is why I've argued for you to reconsider. But when it comes down to it, they are your possessions and you should do whatever you feel comfortable with doing.

So, it sounds like you don't want to just give them away because of their condition, and you don't want to hold on them either. That really only leaves room for disposal or destruction. Sure, there's the option to bury them, but they'll last underground longer than you'll live.

A crazier idea that I'm just pitching is using them for science, as in cleaning. If you're up to it, you can try some non traditional cleaning methods and reporting the results. Don't know if that's your kind of thing, but others might find it interesting and possibly useful.

I'd say they are equally good, but very different.

The laying is best for general snuggles though. Easier to get nice and comfy in bed or on a couch etc. Face to face works really good, and she can hug around your neck a bit. Side snuggles work decently too!

The standing is a little more work to finagle but you can do face to face on your side, face to face more on your belly with yourself partly on the lower side legs. And at least with the one I have you can get her nose into the crook of your neck better then the laying. You can also do snuggles from behind with your head in her mane. And standing is a little more fun for posing and stuff.

So... basically both good for pretty different reasons ><

It's been a long while since I've bought actual ponies in physical form, but I'm happy with what I got up top here in pic related to add to my collection below.

I didn't realize the blindbags sometime have the same background with just a few characters on the front switched, so I got a Screwloose looking pony when I thought I was getting a Nightmare Night costumed Cloudkicker. That set me off buying a bunch of the non glittery blindbag ponies tonight as I found them though. Then I found that adorable Pinkie with the really cute costumed Gummy and couldn't resist.
All in all I think I did well. I'm very thankful for the identification charts for those blindbags.

I am not an expert on sewing machines or anything but here is what I got.

On the left is a Brother XL-2600i. Very low end $80 machine, but it sews beautifully and I still use it for most of my sewing needs. I think it's been discontinued but it is AMAZING for its price.
On the right is a Brother ULT-2001. It was their flagship model back in 2001 and I paid $900 for a used one last year. It's a computerized embroidery machine and it works great too.

In the end I probably use both machines equally as much. You can make good plushies even with just a basic sewing machine though, I used to make my life sizes with the cheap one before I bought my embroidery machine.
