It seems more like the nice side of her was dormant. Why does it seem like she's two completely different characters from one movie to the next?

How is she both a clever manipulating villain, and a complete idiot for not realizing her actions were harmful to others? That whole bit at the end where she's crying and its like "I don't know the first thing about friendship". How could you possibly not understand this? What imbecile doesn't comprehend emotions on such a basic level?

The only other explanation which is the one I think. Is that deep down she still is evil. When she's offscreen she's doing as much bad stuff as she can get away with probably spitting on orphans and kicking puppies.

Just look back at Rainbow Rocks. She quite literally saved two worlds. Do you think that the Dazzlings (Adagio, in particular) would have settled for one world? You know what else they could have done that they completely dropped the ball on?

They could have made Sunset a reoccurring villain. She could have done more plots and schemes to try and take over Equestria.

Imagine how many ways Sunset could have found to return to power. Like Joining the Dazzlings, or sabotaging the friendship games and camp everfree?

Every movie could be another attempt to takeover Equestria until she's finally sealed away or killed at the end for good. She would have been an even better villain than diamond Tiara or Tirek.

Most kids that die by firearms are kids getting involved with gangs, and either get shot by rivals, or get in over their head when they try to prove how tough they are when they rob a store, or mug the wrong person.
